AE x The Ziegler Sisters Sleeveless Hoodie Tee

I saw these on the site and really had to have them because they looked so cute and unique. For size reference, I am super petite and vary between getting xxs and xs in tops depending on the cut and how I plan on wearing them. On the models, this looks like a top that could be really cute with a pair of denim shorts, as sporty skirt or with leggings on it's own. I got an xs because I was not going for a cropped look and didn't want it to be too short. Welllll....the cut and fit is all weird and I am unsure if that would have been helped at all by going down to a xxs or even sizing up. It's definitely cropped despite the description not being super clear about that. Though it looks cute on the model, irl, it would be really hard to make work on it's own as a top especially because the arm holes are huge, they take up most of the side of the shirt. The material is also a little bit too thin (more gauze than waffle) for the price. The hoodie piece is heavier than the whole shirt which is just kind of awkward. I am going to keep the two I ordered because they might be useful under a flannel in the fall and I really don't feel like having to go through the return process. The star on the front is cute and it's always good to have another hoodie option with all the rain we've been having. But honestly, if I could go back and make the choice to *not* buy them, I would. If you really like the design a lot I guess maybe size up or make a different plan for how to style them than is shown.
