Purchased the brown and blue and they appear as pictured. Usually xs or small and went with the extra small after the black and cream I had bought last year were too big in small and they fit great. They arent cropped but definitely a classic at the waist fit. The material is stretchy and isn't too thick and bulky which I love. I bought the cream teddy bear socks from here that match the brown one perfectly.
