AE77 Premium Slinky Deep V-Neck Sweater

I hesitated on this top for a while due to price and once it went on sale I HAD to give it a chance. Yea, a bit pricey however very nice. Not youre typical AE lounge top. Its nicely made, its also thin. Its a go-out type of top. I am a curvy gal (38D size bra) and purchased a M and it for great and a bit oversized like the model. Definitely a great buy in my opinion.

This actually IS a premium item. It’s made from a blend of mercerized wool (that means the wool has gone through a special process to make it softer), and silk. Wool and silk are expensive to produce, hence the heftier price tag. If you bought the same thing at Nordstrom, for instance, it would have a designer label slapped on it and cost a couple hundred dollars more. I love when AE offers things like this, and not just polyester crap. I’ll continue purchasing things like this as long as they offer them!

i tried this on, i instantly fell in love, i want both colors, i wear very little other than a&e & aerie, but i can’t bring myself to spend this on a top….its gorgeous, but the price tag is enough to give me buyers remorse, whyyyyyyy!!???? :( :( :( :(

My sweater just came in and in the quality of sweater that is see through. Spend half the price and buy a better sweater is my advice.

Absolutely not "premium" as the name and price suggest. I wear a soft cloth lanyard with an ID badge for work, and within two hours, the sweater was covered in pills from the cloth lanyard just gently sweeping across my chest as I moved. This is the only item of clothing that has ever been negatively impacted by my lanyard. Very poor quality sweater. Big disappointment. Especially for the enormous price tag!

Definitely joinin’ the bandwagon on this conversation! For the record American Eagle/ Aerie Co., I can in fact afford to buy this lovey “premium”sweater! Will I though… HECK NO! Your exuberant pricing for this line is both unrealistic and laughable. Tell your shareholders to not be so darn greedy!!!

as a customer of AE and then Aerie for practically 20 years I am so confused as too the direction the company is taking by adding these expensive “Luxe” items. I started shopping at AE as a broke teenager, and then continued shopping there & Aerie as a young adult on a tight income. And now as a full grown adult i cant understand the message you are sending to your customers by selling products at such an insane higher price point. part of why ive shopped & stay shopping here is because clothes are relatively affordable, although honestly prices of Aerie items have been shockingly high in recent years. It worries me you are trying to become a boutique store or create a higher status identity or something, and alienate the middle/low class customers who have supported you all these years.
