AE Stretch Curvy High-Waisted Stovepipe Jean

Takeaways: (1) size down if you have curvy hips and a small waist; (2) these are midrise, not high-rise, on my 5'6" frame; and (3) these are super on-trend! Review: These pants are SO cute and I'm thrilled I tried them after the strigid stovepipe jeans didn't work for me (way too much of a gap at the waist). My waist-to-hips ratio is difficult to fit off the rack. For these, I sized down one size from a 4 to a 2 and found that they fit beautifully, with a minimal gap, and not at all too tight on my hips. The rise is just below my belly button (true mid-rise, in my opinion), not a high rise as described. Length is fill-length on me and the jeans come all the way to the tops of my feet or a little longer. For sizing reference, I'm generally a size 4 (27) in other brands (Denim Forum and Levi's) but AE does run big in comparison, so maybe don't size up if you already know your AE size. This was my first AE jeans purchase in a while, other than the Strigid Stovepipe jeans which I bought in my usual size and they were way too big, particularly at the waist.
