I like these tights a lot but they aren’t sustainable at all since the lace is very light and the soles get dirty easily and its hard to clean without ripping it. So if you just need it one time, perfect, more than a few times? Sorry girl you’re gonna need to buy a couple of them but I guess that is how AE gets you to buy more LOL smart business strats

Not for thick thighs.

For reference I am a size 14 in the curvy line, 16 in AE's ref fit line. Small waist thick thighs and legs.
I have been looking for something like these for a long time and after seeing the L/XL fit on the label I jumped on them not expecting to be able to get them on.
To my surprise I was able to very carefully get them on. They are delicate... and while they fit my calves and waist nicely, my thighs almost destroyed them. They were so stretched out that you could barely make out the crochet pattern. Its not a flaw with the tights, but rather my unusually thick thighs. Sadly they are too stretched out to send back. Too bad because these would have been otherwise cute under distressed jeans. A size chart on the actual tights could have been useful.
