Fabric is a little heavy. You can wear it in winter with otk boots or leggings. Don't forget to lay it flat to dry! Don't put it in the washer! The waistband is a little loose on me but not noticeable. The waistband is stretchy and elastic. I ordered XXS. I'm 4'11", and it's midi length on me. It's great for showing off cowboy boots. It's definitely high-waisted. My only complaint is it arrived smelling like sour mildew. Wash before wearing.

i have a 26 inch waist and got a size xs and it fits nice at my natural waist. so if you want it to sit lower on the waist maybe size up. longest part of the hem hits about ankle lenth on me at 5’3. has lining so not see through. i got the off white color. very cute and comfortable.
