These shorts (plus the same style in denim) run large. I'm 150-155 lbs, 5-4' and I normally wear a 6-8 in AE jeans and M in AE bottoms. I bought these in Medium, but they were HUGE. The Small fit great! I have a long torso so they're more of a mid rise on me. I haven't washed them yet, but I'll most likely ;ay flat to dry so the ruffles don't stick out all crazy.

Amazing quality and fit!

Absolutely adorable and comfortable shorts! I have some health issues and have gained a lot of water weight, so it makes it hard to wear a fitted short, when I might lose weight in time. I will live in these shorts this summer with the breathable linen and cotton blend. Thank you AE for designing them well! They are good, thick quality material. Not see through at all! I thought I was crazy for ordering a size XS when I have not been that size since my teens. But they run much bigger than normal. For reference, I am 5'7", weight 150 lbs. They are fitted, but nice! Not too baggy where you look frumpy, not too tight where you can't wear them. Perfect comfortable fit! I bought two in yellow and just adore them and one in olive. Debating on buying the terra cotta color as well. Great buy! Do not hesitate if you want a comfy, relaxed and cute short this summer!
