AE Chunky Lug Loafer

These are cute! Price is good! However I will be returning, for me, they run small, almost a whole size small! I’m a size 9-9.5 I could nearly get my foot in and to me they feel heavy, just fyi!

TLDR; Pros - Comfortable cushioning inside, perfect when sitting or resting for longer periods of time. - Good for the price; leather is good quality and soles are chunky and sturdy - Doesn’t crease badly (just a little but it’s unnoticeable) Cons - Uncomfortable to walk fast in - Bone structure on both feet was hurting for 4 days! - Got my correct size but it’s way too loose (I thought it was an 8.5) - Shoes come off the feet when walking - Very stiff, can’t arch the front part of my feet when walking - VERY loud when walking (I have to be extra careful when walking and tiptoe to suppress the sounds) - Poor stitching; right shoe flap stitching came off Longer Review: In my experience, I went in-store 3 weeks ago after seeing these online for $40. I asked the staff working there and they were super helpful and friendly so customer service was a 10! Weirdly enough, the loafers weren’t out on the display so I had to screenshot the loafers from online and show it to two different staff members. The second staff member told me it was the last pair of loafers they had in stock for size 8 so I took them and tried it on in-store. I loved how it felt when I walked for a bit and it looked really stylish too. Plus it was on sale for only $15 so I had to buy it!! (The sale was a huge red flag already lol 🚩) However, once I wore them for one day (8am–5pm for work), I noticed the shoes were very stiff, and it made me walk awkwardly almost like a robot. They don’t bend so I had to forcefully bend the shoes a little before wearing them. My feet HURT BADLY after I took them off. I had severe pain on both feet for 4 days but now it’s reduced to just on my right foot. But it’s especially painful when I walk. The stitching on the left side of my RIGHT SHOE came off. The flap was just open so I had to secure it with a large safety pin. I’m a size 8 so I got these shoes in the same size. Unfortunately the shoes are super loose. They keep falling off and every time I try to walk fast they slow me down instead. I literally have to walk SLOWER than my normal walking speed. I was thinking of sizing down to a 7.5 but they didn’t have any left in stock. I thought it would probably be way too narrow anyway so I didn’t risk buying it at a different store. I love the overall look of the loafers. It’s very clean and timeless, and the leather is surprisingly really good for the price I got it for. Matches well with pleated skirts and trousers with cardigans and knit sweaters. Perfect for museum themed outfits. The inside cushioning is good but NOT comfortable once you keep walking for more than 30 minutes in these! I would say these are good to wear for when you are sitting or taking short trips around an office or classroom. I wouldn’t recommend wearing them though if you’ll be walking outside a lot because of the stiff soles. Definitely not an “outdoor outing” kind of shoe. I recommend saving your money and investing in a higher quality pair of loafers or just buying them from other well known brands. Rating Based On Experience: Runs Large? the shoes are so trendy however one shoe seemed alot bigger than the other and my feet slid in them with my socks so bad i hardly could walk all day

they look like elf shoes and dont really look like the photo. the toungue of the shoe is very odd as well. also you need very narrow feet for these

love the style, love the look, but if you have wider feet then these are definitely not for you. The entire shoe is quite narrow and the material isn’t too forgiving

DO NOT buy these shoes! After wearing them for a month my feet have been cramping and I got TWO blisters, one on my pinky toe and another underneath my left foot. My heels constantly get scratched up and even with bandaids it doesn’t protect well. I wanted to keep wearing them to make it work since they complete my outfits but the long term pain isnt worth pics for the gram. Oh and the shoes are stiff and can barely walk in them.

When I seen these shoes I thought they were cute! I was excited to get them when I ordered them, i read other reveiews that they were comfortable. I have a job where I'm on my feet alot. So reading other reviews that said they were comfortable was what sold me to buy them. But they didn't work out for me sadly. They hurt my feet horribly. They fit my feet fine but when I went to work, they hurt my feet very bad. They rubbed the back of ankle and hurt my toes too. So they sadly these just didn't work out for me. But that doesn't mean they won't work out for you.
