AE Low-Rise Denim Tomgirl Short

I ordered 6 pairs of shorts in the exact same size and these ones are bigger than all the rest. I'm a size 0 and my daughter is a size 4/6. These size 0s are tight on her, but they fit my daughter. I'd definitely size down at least 1 size when purchasing these. They are super cute, just bigger than expected.

There was nothing wrong with these shorts, except they were so large I could hardly tell how they looked. I normally wear a 0 in next level jeggings and ordered a 00 in these. I didn't exchange for the 000, but these definitely seem to run larger like the tomgirl jeans. The reason for the star off is that it is so hard to get the sizing right with the variations in different jeans and even between pair by pair. The material is soft and medium weight, which I thought would be great for summer as I don't like the tight jean material when it is so hot outside. They appear true to the color I saw on my computer. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Over all wonderful shorts fit like I excepted but they just didn’t work for me and my body, so in the end I had to return them.

I loved these shorts until I realized the back pockets have holes cut in the bottom. I only realized when my phone was partially hanging out of the bottom of my pocket.

The 00 measurements on the size guide are supposed to match my waist measurement exactly. I thought it might be a bit loose in the hips, but there was a ton of room in the waist and it was generally baggy. Definitely not how it fits the models. I've bought AE shorts in the same size over the past decade and those still fit me the way they should, so I'm pretty disappointed by these. The fabric is nice at least, not that I can wear it.
