AE Low-Rise Denim Tomgirl Short

These shorts are comfy and cute! Perfect for going outside the house while feeling comfortable.

*These nearly fit me like Mom Shorts SHOULD (with the exception they are somewhere between mid-rise & high-rise). My issue is that with mom shorts, they are too short and my butt is literally exposed. These can be a fitted shorts for those with 11in+ hip to waist difference. I hope they never get rid of these shorts. They’re the only ones that fit right That being said… I have purchased these shorts in several colors/variations (with/without drawstring). I bought white in a size 8 & 6. (I purchased a back up in case the first pair get dingy AND my weigh fluctuates. I weight 128-138. At 5’0 feet tall & 137lbs My waist is 29.5 inches and my hips 42.5 (Size 8 in white fits these measurements best). The size chart for size 8 is 29in waist and 39in hip. So that should give you an idea of how much room is in the hip. Mind you the white has absolutely no stretch. When I’m about 128-130, size 6 is the way to go (my 128 measurements are 28 in waist and 41in hip) Other colors that I have fit my 137 measurements as follows… (drawstring-brown) size 6- these tend to run even larger than the button up style. (Medium destroy-button up-no stretch) size 6, run larger than the white. (Light super bleach-button up-no stretch) -size 6, run slightly larger than the white but i honestly could have done an 8 too. I chose a 6 though because just like with any denim, these will break in and stretch to fit after a while and end up fitting like an 8 anyways. See also my other review under the white color. For more reference at 137 I wear a size 8 in jeggings and 6 in mom jeans. I love these shorts in several colors because they fit me as they should in the waist, accommodate my larger than average hip, cover my butt completely (they cut under so that when I bend over my butt is not exposed). They are still short enough to be flattering (no long crotch/inseam). These are honestly MY perfect shorts. In my fantasy world, these shorts would have a slightly higher and be my perfect mom shorts.

These ones are super comfortable, great length, I love the material and added support of the tie at the front. I find my weight and body fluctuates throughout the month and this makes it easier to stay comfortable all month long.
