These are extra baggy! For reference, I usually wear a 6, and went all the way down to a 2 for these bad boys. They aren't low rise, I would say they are between a regular and mid-rise jean. There's also zero stretch to them. ...but I absolutely LOVE them. They're the shorts I wanted as a kid, back in the 90s but my mom never bought them for me!

Down size one size. I have TomGirl pant and 90's bootcut pant size 8 and I have to exchange this short for size 6.
I love them, super comfortable and loose at thighs. Even the waist fit perfectly.

Looooove these! They do run big, as mentioned in the comments. I did want a baggy fit, and according to info it suggested to size up 1 or 2 sizes. I'm between a 6 and 8 in jeans from AE and got an 8. I'm glad I didn't size up anymore than that... I'm thick in the hips and thighs and have some of mom tummy and they're still kinda baggy, which i love. My only complaint is they are not low rise. I can pull them down but that looks weird because the zipper is too long. I am short though. 5ft and 150 lbs
Nonetheless i loooove these they are so comfy and cute on!!
