AE Vegan Leather Trench Coat

This jacket arrived on Friday. Beautiful colour. Lovely heaviness to the fabric. I wore it out the same day, got so many compliments, and felt so good about my purchase. I wore the coat to work this Monday, a few days later, and one subway commute had me brushing against other passengers, which led to a WHOLE button popping off, and after seeing that, I quickly saw that another button was starting to hang off. The buttons are not strongly sewn on at all, and I'm truly shocked because I had come to associate American Eagle with decent quality. This was a truly disappointing experience and now I'm stuck with the jacket. That said these are truly first world problems and I'll look into how I can get new buttons sewed on, I just know to be wary of more pricey purchases from American Eagle because it doesn't in fact always equal quality. General notes about sizing. I often wear items that are a bit oversized from AE (i.e., I have a 2XL jean jacket that is a bit too big, but I like the fit). This jacket is generous in size, so don't go too far up. I considered even going down to XL. The arm length is great, and it's a bit past my knees. For reference, I am 5'8 and curvy.
