such a gorgeous black tie optional dress! bought when it was alpha sizes very numeric but my normal size medium fit great! a little long for my 5’3 frame

I needed a formal dress for a wedding and thought to look at Ae-Aerie and was pleasantly surprised to find this dress! i dressed it up with some jewelry and shoes and it was perfect and so pretty. i would say if you have bigs hips maybe dont get because all the extra ruffles/materials could add width. i loved that it could be strapped or strapless

The Perfect Dress

Rarely do I remember to come back and write reviews, but my experience with this dress was too good not to share. As the teacher overseeing prom, I wanted to match my students’ energy and look nice for the event, but my body has changed a lot since my own high school prom and it’s hard to find a formal dress I feel comfortable in. After looking high and low in all kinds of stores, I ordered this as a last ditch effort pretty close to the event. It came way earlier than the quoted shipping date. I ordered it in two sizes just in case, and the large fit the best. The back is stretchy and gave plenty of bust room while managing to hold its own. I didn’t have to wear a bra or nippies and I felt secure all night. I wore the straps because I was moving a lot, but I honestly could’ve done strapless. The flowy, tiered lower half eliminated my insecurities about my midsection, allowing me to feel both comfortable and pretty. Even at full price, it was a bargain for how well it’s made. I haven’t felt this good in a dress in a long, long time. It was the perfect level of formal without being over the top, so I can wear it to plenty of other kinds of events. I got compliments all night and people have reached out on social media to ask where I got it. Thank you, AE!

Perfect for Prom and more Casual events!

I bought this dress for prom and I’m obsessed. It’s super comfortable and material feels comfortable. It’s also a really good price for a prom dress and will be worn again in the future! It comes with straps but I tucked them in to wear strapless so it can be worn both ways. Fit perfectly and didn’t need altering. Super cute layers and color (I got it in pink).. highly recommend!

This is a beautiful dress that is so versatile with its removable/adjustable straps! Bough for my 14 to wear at her upcoming 8th grade end of the year formal. It can be dressed up or down, even paired with a little cardigan. What a find!
