I agree with other reviews, this dress is definitely lilac and not pink but I love it even more because of that. It's the perfect length and not see through at all. The pockets are huge too! I've warned this 3 times and my only complaint is that the material of the skirt can get stuck on things.

your perfect spring time dress

This might be my favorite dress AE has made yet! It’s incredibly soft, lightweight, and perfect for warm weather. The flowy fit is super comfortable& i love is how it gives my body some shape. As someone petite (5’4”, 113 lbs), I was worried it might look boxy on me, but the fit is actually really flattering. I ordered an XS regular and it fits true to size. This color actually looks better in person! i was worried it was going to be too pink but it really is THE perfect color theme for the season, as you can see in my photos:)

Was not expecting to like this when i saw it on the hanger, but glad i gave it a try! Its the perfect spring dress! i am going to pair it with a cream cardigan! I am 5’5, 36E and normally a size L but the M fit perfect!

I am actually 26 weeks pregnant and this drop waist was so perfect for my bump!! The shirring being only on the front felt super flattering and fitted. I ended up sizing up just so that the drop waist would come a little lower for a more flattering fit over my bump but I agree that it could possibly be sized down if you're not carrying.
For reference, I usually wear a medium but I got a large, pregnancy weight is at 155lbs and I'm 5'5".

Super cute dress, is more purple than it looks in the pics but is otherwise similar to the pics. Double lined which is nice- perfect for the spring/ summer!!!!! If you are on the cusp between sizes I would size down- the top half is stretchy!

First time ordering ae because I've always been plus size and I didn't trust their XXL would fit, until I saw it on i.g on a body similar to mine. I ran to the website! I'm usually a 2 from torrid which is 18/20. Besides the size issue I was also worried the smocking would hug all the bad areas of my belly but I loved the design and color so much I took the plunge and .....it first perfectly!!! It really flatters my apple/pear shape (more apple than pear). I def recommend.

I tried this on in store. I thought the cream was the prettiest but the fabric is sheer and I would caution against it unless you don’t mind it a little see through. I ended up with the lilac. It is pinkish purple. Not pink.
Also, I’m usually a M but if having tried in both at the store I opted to size down. The smocking makes it form fitting and comfortable. I would say the m was not form fitting and it ran big

the picture online makes it look alot more pink but the flowers are actual pretty purple coloured. Its still super cute though just something to be aware of!! also the shape of the bodice worked really well for my figure!!

Cute dress, I really liked it until I moved even slightly and then the elastic drop V-waist part started bunching wierd on the back and front. And in the worst spots too! On the back, it’s right above the butt, and on the front, it’s in the stomach area. So unflattering! Nobody adds this in their reviews, but I have a long torso and long legs so maybe my body’s proportions just aren’t right for this style of dress, but yeah, food for thought, it bunches because of the elastic drop V-waist. I think that if it wasn’t elastic/stretchy, it wouldnt bunch or wouldn’t bunch as much. I also said it ran “somewhat large” since I usually take a small but had to get an XS since the elastic/stretchy top made it larger in the bust/chest area even though I’m apart of the small chested ladies club. If you are heavier set in the bust area, I’d stick to your regular AEO size. On the brightside, it has pockets which is always nice.

I have a smaller waist, but larger hips/chest, and the cut of this was not flattering on me. The triangular shape scrunched up and just did not sit well on my hips. Such a cute dress, but not made for my body type.
