The shorts said they are low rise but definitely fit more like a mid high rise. The length is perfect and they are super comfy.

comfy for curvy

they are very comfy although I ordered a size up from my normal size for jeans. I often see that whatever size shorts I wear is a size up from the pants i fit in. May keep them for store runs but I wish they could figure out how to make the shorts cuff stay in place while keeping the style.

They were okay, at first..

If you don't have a belly, these will surely give you the appearance of having one (seriously, what's with the 3ft crotches with this company). They don't hold their shape - as you can see from the picture after wearing them twice, and just seem to have a lot of 'fabric'. Unfortunately, I missed my return window. Maybe I got a size too big? If that's the case, AE sizes are completely off.

Fit was weird

I ordered my usual size (10), and these fit so weird. The waist was fine, and the shorts were stretchy and seemed comfortable. But the leg holes were ginormous for my legs, so that the back of the shorts was almost flappy! It may be that they run big too, but since the waist fit me well, I don't think that was the case. I wanted to love these, I did. They were stretchy but I still had to suck it in to get it buttoned. Considering I wear a size 18-20 in curvy jeans here, I had high hopes these would be the same.
