AE Dreamy Drape Sueded High-Waisted Baggy Wide-Leg Pant

Size up, or they'll fit too tight in the thighs & legs. One size up was perfect. Tempted to wash them because the color transferred to my socks after one wear, kind of afraid they’ll fade if I do. Love them though, fit great, look great.

These pants are so comfortable and soft. They are a beautiful navy and will work for daily casual wear or for work.

This was my first time buying from American Eagle and I’m very happy with this item. I love love love the silky soft feel of the suede and how chic yet comfortable the pants are overall. I am 5’5-6ish and got the regular length. When wearing boots about 2 in high (seen in the full size photos), they are the perfect length. They barely touch the floor when I wear regular sneakers (about 1 in soles). I’m also a size 14 in pants normally and believe these are true to size. The rise also worked pretty well with my hips, though I still wear a belt because all pants have a waist gap for me. American Eagle, if you ever needed a model, I would gladly skip to represent your brand lol.

🔥 these suede pants are gorgeous!!! They literally are wide leg perfection!!! Not too wide and just right! Sizing is true as well! Wore them for work with pointer boots! I bet at least 6 people complimented them! Bonus*They wash beautifully! 🔥❤️

These aren’t tight in the crotch for me but I normally wear a 0, need a long but there is no long in 0. I was glad when I needed a 2long they are perfect and make my butt look good. I dont have much of a butt. I think the tight in crotch thing others complain about may be because they have a butt but if you don’t have much of a butt these will def help! The fabric is a beautiful and soft suede like material. These are def my favorite pants right now and I’m going to buy the other colors.

They are a great quality, like a heavy draping material. I am a size 2 short, 5 ft tall and they hit at the top of my feet. 26 inch waist and 36 inch hips.

I read the reviews about the awkward fit but I went for it anyway. I typically get a size 2 in AE so that’s what I got but Long. I guess I have the one body shape this actually fits well on lol. Perfect fit. Waist is somewhere between mid rise and high waist. Paired with a bodysuit, it’s perfect. I’m 5’5 120lb. Fabric is really nice, thick, heavy. Took some effort to steam it straight but it didn’t crease the entire day and I worked in them. That’s worth the money alone.

was hesitant based on reviews but buy these pants!! I got SO many compliments on them all day! they are beyond soft and comfortable and run trie to size I got my normal size 10.

these pants aren’t baggy like other AE baggy pants. thankfully i listened to other reviews and sized up because they do definitely run small. normally i’m a 4 reg in AE pants, i sized up to 6 reg, and these are a little tight in my hips and butt. otherwise, length is perfect for 5’6” me, material is suede-ish and soft, chocolate color is a pretty neutral

These are a beautiful fabric, perfect navy and a nice shape. To me, they were far more fitted than my other dreamy drapes and definitely not baggy. I am 5’7.5 with long legs and these were very short on me. I order an 18 or 16 normally and these were very tight around the waist in an 18. i am going to keep them, I think, but you may want to size up of you have a larger waist. They are not stretchy like the other Dreamy Drapes and do not have any give in the waist.

This is my 3rd pair of “Dreamy drape” jeans from AE, I have thick thighs so these are the only wide leg jeans I have found that are wide enough in the leg. Did not read the discription well and was expexting denim. They are Suede like an Ugg, very soft. I do like them so I’m keeping them, was planning on wearing them on a trip to a warm place, but they will be too thick for that. They do gap in the back, which is probably due to the soft (less structured) fabric.

Loved these but... Loved these pants - but the regulars were a tad too short and the longs were a tad too long for me. The fabric is awesome, suede like and it felt so good. Looked good and felt good other than the length.

The pants are beautiful but too tight and short. Definetily size up. I’ll return it. It’s not High Rise.

It’s not very high waisted, the fit is more like mid rise. I am 5’4 i usually order short, but this is way shorter than jeans. I ordered the brown color, it looks more like deep purple to me. The material is SOFT to be fair!

They are not high waisted, they are way below my belly button. I got a size 6 and the length is good. The crotch badly digs in when i sit down but if i go up a size the pants are too big at waist and legs.

I’ll start with AE is my faborite pant once i can figure what size to get. My weight, inseam and such has not changed. but i continue to need an inseam of short, regular and long depending on the pant. its absolutely absurd. i always buy 2 lengths and drive to the store to return one. These pants- I honestly dont know what made me think to get a long (im 5’3- the model pictured is 5’9 and she is wearing a long- i guess my instinct??), but im glad i did. the dont even touch the ground with my sneakers on. after i tried them on, i put back on the AE pants i wore to work today, a regular inseam that drags the ground. maybe they flip a coin each time to see how inconsistent they can continue to be. The size 2R will be delivered tomorrow. i cant wait to see how short they are. i remember the time i had to get the poppy trousers in a 000 because they were huge (in black) then when they came out in brown and grey, i couldnt button them- again my size hasnt changed and i’m not a 000…its just a guessing game each time. I’ll provide my measurements because i know how frustraiting it is to search the reviews for someones measurements so i have an idea of how they fit. im 5’3, 120 and ordered a 2 long in these and so far they fit ok. there is a bit of a gap in the back but i think a 0 would have been too tight.

Color is great, suede fabric is soft, seams look good- but the inseam is not as stated, and the waistband does the back-gap thing. Returning.

I love the color, the material is soft and comfortable however either the sizing is now inconsistent or the pair I received is not the size it says it is. I have ordered multiple styles of baggy wide leg pants/jeans each in size four, however this pair is skin tight and too small. I would size up if ordering. Im very disappointed as I thought AE was consistsent in their sizes and now I don’t believe I can buy their “online only” options.

I wanted to like these but they run small. They have a short inseam and give a wedgie in the front and back. The long length was more like a regular.

There are so many good things about these pants.The fabric is soft and cozy, the wine and purplish-brown color ways are both beautiful, the regular length is great for short girls like me (5'2"), they make your butt look great.....but the fit in the crotch - awful! These need a higher/longer rise or something - they pull up in the crotch area so uncomfortably. Just remake these better, AE! You can do it!

the color of the pants is cute but i ended up returning since the fit was so awkward. the crotch digs in so bad and the whole fit overall is not flattering

the pant left some pink stains on my white shoes. not good.

liked these until i realized that the dye comes off.

so many pants arent long enough for me! please make Longs in sizes under 2!
