The material and color are so beautiful. The fit is baggier than i would like and it isnt quite Super High waist, but overall the fit is quite comfortable, for me. They look good and feel great. I am 5’8 212lbs. Pear Shape.

stats- 5' 3, 128lbs, 28 inseam Tried to size up as my usual size 4 was super tight- but the 6 is way too loose and baggy- they whisker/smile too much for me at the crotch. The rise is 5" on the sz 4 short, legs 28" long. Made in China & they've painted them so nicely, can't imagine how they did it! Might try for another 4 to see it it fits better in case the first one was off as some of the reviews seem to indicate sizing inconsistency.

Cool jeans, ludicrous sizing

I bought these jeans in two sizes (2 and 4 short) - based on the size chart a 4 should have fit me, but my other AE bottoms can run a little large so I thought maybe the 2. I wanted a shorter length.
When they arrived it became clear that I would have needed to order one or two sizes down, based on the 2. They were also longish.
I am 164cm approx 27” waist and 37” hips - there is no universe in which I am a size zero or below. I am average height and I feel like you’d need to be 2-3 inches taller than me for this length to be “short”.
Though I really appreciate how good AE’s return policy is, I’d rather just be able to order clothes that fit based on a reliable size chart.
I wanted these pants for the Christmas season. In the end I had to return both and I didn’t bother exchanging for a smaller size because it was too late.
They were definitely cool-looking and felt like a quality item, but I recommend trying in person!
