AE77 Premium Pleated Trouser Pant

I wore these for a work presentation and they were so comfortable that I elected to keep them on for my red eye flight that night. The other reviews mentioned wrinkles was a concern and I definitely had to iron them after their arrival, but they stayed pressed and looked great through 36 hours of Seattle rain, flights, and more.

bought in both black and olive. LOVE. easily dressed up or down with a sweater and loafers or a graphic tee and sneakers. high waisted but not too high waisted. the olive requires a bit more attention when it comes to pressing out wrinkles, but only because the color shows them deeper (and sometimes you just have to iron or steam stuff yk). the material is perfect and feels high quality. I've had both pairs for 6 months, and I'm about to purchase in the cream color as well.

This outer fabric is great and probably whats “premium” about these pants: soft, light, washes and dries well on delicates and can be worn casually but you can easily dress it up if thats more your look. Theres a big mistake with the fabric choice for the interior (waistband lining, pockets, zipper lining). It is a heavier cotton, like 3 times as heavy as the outside material. Like another reviewer mentioned, it wrinkles and basically in some places makes it impossible to iron out, creating a buckled/wrinkled look on the pocket seams seen on the outside, both side and back pockets, and also on the zipper front. I recognized this as a problem right away but since I got them at a discount, I thought if what I suspected happened after a wash that I could spend on getting it altered, which will definitely cost the 50% off I saved. The lining should be improved and a second release of these pants could stand to see just 1 to 2 percent of stretch added for better wrinkle resistance when wearing. I took my regular size which is one down from other stores) fit perfectly and the regular length touches the floor (5”6’) so it’ll work best with sneakers.

the fit is flattering. material not so great as it attracts lots of dust, pet hair etc. not sure if this is a keeper for that reason. Maybe dont get the black to avoid this issue

I guess i didn’t really look closely at the fabric content, but these are more of a coated denim than trouser. I thought they’d either be more like a satin pant or a slack. Just too thick for what I would use.

Love the style. But def not anything premium about these. They came folded in a sealed bag, and were so wrinkled. Ironed, but got beyond wrinkled from normal wear. Also, they run small, def size up. Quality seemed less nice than other AE and aerie items. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

These are really flattering on for the most part. True to size. My issue is the back pockets. After washing them once, they wrinkle and bunch up on the inside. This creates a weird, lumpy looking butt unless you are prepared to iron the INSIDE every single time you wash. Why even have these sewn in when the back pockets are non-functional?

ordered my TTS and was definitely too tight. also, wished they were longer

I really wanted to love these pants. Unfortunately, the construction wasn’t the high quality I expected for the price and the cut didn’t suit my 5’ 2” frame. I shouldve returned them to AE but instead paid another $50 to have them altered. Still not thrilled. Wish AE carried more petites since not too many of us are built like the models in the photos.

Fell in love with this pants as soon as I saw them online. Bought them and was happy when I received. That being said, after one single wash in gentle cycle and in a separate wash bag, I noticed a hole in the back ( which was Not when I received it). So disappointed with the quality as these were not cheap at all.

Looks oversized in photos, however runs smaller than shown. Size up if you want them to fit like model. Also, fabric was way cheap looking-very wrinkled. No point in ironing bc they wrinkle right away again. Seemed cheaper than AE stuff, so the price shocks me for what actually shows up. Also for something so expensive, why aren’t different length options offered? Returned.

Ran a bit smaller than normal AE. Fabric was extremely wrinkled-even if ironed out, just wearing would create wrinkles. Looked cheap in person. For this price point, there should be length options and better fabrics. Construction seemed cheaper than the normal AE stuff. Def not worth the price
