great jeans but flawed

these fit and were cute! i love the fit of AE mens jeans & they have bigger pockets!! however, this pair was cut/sewn weird so that the inseam twisted to the front after i prewashed them. made them uncomfortable to wear. the button hole was also cut/sewn too small making it almost inpossible to button them. i had NO luck trying to return what i consider faulty made jeans in the store… even though they were not wearable. i still had the tags, but because they were no longer attrched, i was out of luck. luckily, the nice cashier at Aerie encouraged me to call the customer service number & they took excellent care of the issue, offering a full refund & shipping label to return them.
AE customer service to the rescue!

Tough to write a review because I bought three pairs of these in three different washes and all three fit completely different! To me, the Authetic Light ones are way too baggy. I started wearing AE Slim jeans 5 or 6 years ago (switching from Original Straight), and these fit more like the old Original Straights. It seems like AE Slim jeans have gotten much baggier over the past year or two, and i am not a fan of the new fit, bit to each his or her own!

These are skinny jeans, not slim jeans. I am thin, and these are super tight. American Eagle is not consistent with their fits. Different colors of the same “fit” fit differently. I like the color of these jeans, but the fit sucks. They’re too tight.

Skinny, not slim

This is skinny, not slim. Bought two of these and they felt and looked really tight. One pair I bought a 7 months and finally wore it, it was tight. Bought another pair a week ago and its tight as well. Returned it immediately, glad I got my money back.
