These shorts are comfortable & good looking

As a gardener I enjoy working in shorts during the warmer season, but most are too long for my shorter posture and legs. These shorts are a great find: they have some elasticity and enough room on the thighs to allow for frequent squatting and bending. They are a bit wide in the waste but I did not want to downsize and risk losing the thigh-width, and since I wear a belt it is not an issue. They could use one or two more belt loops if I had it my way, and I don't particularly care for the 'broken in' look, which means they are somewhat frayed on the edges. But they will likely last me the entire season and look good according to my wife!

Compared to AE's usual shorts, the "lived-in" line runs looser at the waist and significantly wider in the thighs, with the ends a bit frayed. They balloon way out when I'm standing, more like straight-cut trousers that were cut into shorts. Not my style at all--unfortunately AE doesn't seem to be offering anything tighter this season.
