AE Active Tight

I've worn tights before for exercise and as a baselayer under skinny jeans in the super cold winter months, but I was surprised to see that AE was making tights. Although Aerie has made leggings for what seems like ever, seemingly AE never made a men's equivalent. When I got these I was surprised at just how soft they were. I've never worn a baselayer that feels so soft on the skin, to the point you almost want to avoid longer boxers simply because this is comfier. I suppose you could even wear these without underwear, but I am not that adventurous. I was worried they'd fall apart in the wash, or pill, or lose softness, and they haven't (yet) but only had one or two washes since I got them, so your millage may vary. I will say these were difficult to put on, and that's coming from someone who used to wear super skinny jeans all the time when AE sold them) you have to be careful cause if you pull straight on like a jean you're going to tear the material, and so you're forced to very carefully and forcefully slide these on, with that said, its not undercomfortable and it doesn't feel "to small" feels more like a by product of the material and its strechyness. With that said it'd be great if these came with a fly so this issue wouldn't matter at all, because as is.... well when nature calls its more of a process for sure! I also haven't worn these as a baselayer yet, so they may not work as well under jeans, but they are super tight so I can't imagine it'd be a big deal (with the exception of making skinny's even harder to put on and take off! (Good luck with that!). TL:DR All in all these are a great set of tights (or leggings as AE calls them on the newer pair) which are incredibly soft, stretchy, sweat-wicking, and lightweight all in a great package! I'd say give them a try but if you're on the fence wait for a sale! Hope to see AE make more of these in the future! Ideally with some colour, like some teals, pinks, etc.
