Aerie The Sunbun Bikini Bottom

I bought these bottoms to go with the ruffle underwire bikini top and I absolutely love them. The print is so pretty and I love the coloring. It has that vintage feel to it, but modernized. I normally like to break down my reviews by quality, fit, sizing and lastly value for money. Quality: I would have to disagree with the other reviews that the quality is bad. I haven't worn them yet, but in terms of sewing, all the stitches are neat and everything is symmetrical. The fabric is very soft and the straps are stretchy but have good hold. I have 100 swimsuits (quite literally) ranging between $10-$250 a set and the quality of these are pretty in line with suits in the $50-$100 range. Fit: The fit is perfect. It's very flattering. No weird bunching at the back and the bottoms have the perfect amount of coverage at the front and back. I was worried they would have too much coverage based on the stock/model photo, but they actually are a good medium level of cheekiness. The front isn't too narrow either. Covers everything just fine. Also, the straps can be pulled high on the hips which is nice. Sizing: True to size. My waist is 26" and hips are 35", and the XS fits me perfectly. The rise isn't too high or too low. Lands around the midway line between the belly button and the end. Value for money: Very good value for money. I think they're priced fairly, but aerie often has sales. I got them for 25 percent off. Overall, I'd highly recommend this bikini bottom.

The pattern is cute but doesn’t fit quite right. I miss the old low rise cheeky style bottoms. This style immediately becomes a thong when I walk which isn’t what im going for.

Good fit on the back but I felt like the front was too low waisted and not enough material.

these bottoms are super small. I got a large like I normally do and it barely covers me

im 5’1 120 pounds, i dont nind a cheek fit and these are flattering everywhere except the front. i sized up to a medium, hoping it would fix the issue and was left with a saggy back and tiny front still.

fair warning these are cheekier than shown on fhe model!

this is not good in the front pubic mound is visible on both sides , maybe if for a ten year old and not a teen or adult? and is kinda small for cheeky in back

the material is good but the coverage definetly don’t have as much as the model. i wish they had more styles in the same prints because its so cute but I will be returning because it doesn’t cover much

i really miss the consistency of aerie swimwear. it seems like the last two years, everything is miscut or missized. it used to be i would know a bikini would fit because it was consistent with the sizing of their other clothing articles. this is one such fail for me. the cut of this bottom makes no anatomical sense, especially compared to this aerie thong in the same size that is honestly a bit loose on me. the front coverage is significantly less than a THONG. going to see if my store has a medium and if that will work, if not, the set will unfortunately be going back which is such a bummer because the gingham is so cute.

Its cute but its skimpy- and theres no alternative bottoms that I see listed for the color combination? If youre under like 140 lbs it probably looks fine. Expect to be shaving her all as it exposes up through the hips.

I have about 20 bikinis from aerie from multiple years, so I am absolutely confident this is worse quality than before. The fabric feels cheaper, cut is weird, and stitching is $5 quality. It jusy feels cheap. BUT, I would say TTS. I am a 4/6, 130- ish lbs and got a M. Just saying, at this price point? RETURN. This to me is worth Shein prices. Please aerie, don’t cut cost so much that you wont have loyal customers anymore. quality *IS* important.

So saddened that all of the cute prints dropped in this suit with only this bottom cut. No matter the size there is too little coverage where needed. Im 5’5” and athletic type and these fit poorly. I enjoy a good cheekini or bikini style bottoms but this is neither. Closer to a thong. I dont understand why you cant choos the style as there is not alternatives in most prints. I would buy 4 prints right off the bat if there were. Now i am forced to shop other brands that give options when it comes to sets.

im a true medium in aerie swim and even their cheeky styles fit me great. this literally looks like a loin cloth on. its not cute and you have to pull it wayyyy low for it to cover what it needs to in the front. why dont they offer a better coverage option for this print???? so disappointing. felt cheaper than last years too by a lot. wouldnt rec
