Aerie High Waisted Bikini Bottom

I really wanted to love these becuase the color is so vibrant and pretty! However, I carry my weight in my stomach area and becuase of the rather thin material of these bottoms, the material, and gathered sides accentuated my stomach pouch

I returned these because I think the high waisted style draws the eye to the midsection and creates the illusion of bigger hips.

i've wanted to try a high waisted bikini bottom for a while, and loved all the styles/colors offered from aerie. i think i thought the spandex would be a little more supportive in smoothing out any unflattering areas, but on me, it made these areas stand out more. i also have a shorter torso, so high wasited may not be the best style on me. the sizing was fine and the color was true to the picture (very pretty!), but just not the right look on me. decided to return them.

I have the same one in a larger size, but it's getting too big since I have lost some weight. For some reason, this is not quite as flattering - looked a little like granny panties. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

This fit and looked great! However, after only a handful of wears, the material has started to blow out. You know how swimsuits loose their elasticity after awhile in small sections? That typically happens to my swimsuits after years, but this happened within months. Very disappointed because I really loved these. Beware of quality.

I love the style and bright red colour. They are pretty full coverage, but I find them on the small side. I've ordered M size bottoms and one-pieces that fit perfectly, but these were snug. I'm thinking it's the cut. I love them, but disappointed with the fit.

I ordered my regular size in Aerie. It fit fine in the hips and bum but was not as high as I had expected. All of the photos showed the piece above the navel but on me it was right below the navel. I have a long torso and am thicker but dont have a big belly, i was expecting this to be about 2 inches longer so it would be over my navel and to my waist

I hope that the high-waisted feature of it would minimize my muffin top a little, but it didn’t. I gave it two stars because it was cute and offered good coverage in the back. However, if you’re looking for something with a little compression, I wouldn’t recommend.

These bottoms were to hight cut for my 11 year old.

Based on reviews and pictures I was excited to try this and was SO disappointed. I'm on the curvier side and was excited to potentially have a bikini but not feel as self conscious about my stomach. But it's as if this bottom is designed to make your love handles and hips look as wide and round as possible. Where it hits on the top of my thigh created rolls I didn't even know I had. If it was a thicker / more structured material and slightly higher cut it would maybe be flattering but without that change this stands as top 5 most unflattering bathing suit bottoms I've tried on.

I bought this bathing suit bottom in red a year ago. I love it. I use it all the time. I wear it, I wash it, it's great. I bought another one in green, July 2021. I wore it ONCE for an hour at a splash park. The seams unraveled right away in two spots! I contacted customer service, and they won't do anything because I wore it. SUPER disappointing! Quality has gone way down or I got a defective one, and AE doesn't care!

I ordered the high waisted leopard print in XL and they were too big, so I ordered large in the red ones. Nowhere near the same
