while i agree with a lot of the reviews that say this is a new style and they should go back to the older years, I think this suit is really nice quality. I did have to size up which stinks since that puts a blow on my confidence so i understand other buyers frustration. I feel like the material is definitely different too as it is not as stretchy (for me at least). I will be keeping my bottoms since i love the leopard pattern too much

new aerie swim bottoms only flattering on thin ppl

remember when aerie used to sell a wide variety of bikini styles that looked good on many different body types, big or small? yeah, me too. aerie swapping out their classic cheeky highrise bottoms for whatever mess *these* bottoms are feels like the final nail in the coffin for those of us above a size medium. you can see it in the change of models they use to advertise their swimsuits now vs several years ago as well. aerie now caters to flat tummies exclusively, and anyone who doesnt fit that standard that must either settle for conservative one pieces (which are mostly sold out in sizes L-XXL… i wonder why 😐) or simply shop elsewhere. i will be choosing the latter from here on out.
newsflash, aerie: its 2025, not 2005. lowrise, string bikins are not flattering on most body types, and ditching your one body inclusive swim bottom style for this crappy imitation is unacceptable. companies like aerie that only care to sell body inclusive swimsuits & clothing when its considered “trendy” do NOT deserve our money, and so they should have to suffer the consequences of losing half of their targeted customers.

granny bottoms. aerie made the best high waisted high thigh cheeky bottoms 3 years ago and haveng ever since. everything is either string bikini, granny bottoms or regular bikini cut.
