I absolutely love these shorts! They’re 100% cotton, so nice and breathable for the upcoming summer. After reading some reviews and looking at the size chart multiple times, I opted for an xs. Even with the xs there’s plenty of stretch, and you can tie it however tightly you’d like. So I would say possibly size down 1. I originally got it in the black, but just ordered the light tan and red ones as well! #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Love this style (& color) but they were much larger than I expected. I’ve gained a lot of weight in the last year, & I’ve gone from a size S to M to L in aerie underwear. I have a big butt & thicker thighs, so I ordered an XL, but they were too big. If you’re between sizes, I’d recommend sizing down, unless you’re going for an oversized, baggy look.
