I bought this because I just couldn't figure out my correct size. I tried this out thinking it couldn't possibly be right and so easy, but I've finally found my perfect fit bra and I was shocked! So happy with this product!!! #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Convenient but not best quality

This is super convenient , especially since I order online a lot. It also measured me correctly and it's nice to know my other sizes. However, it doesn't seem to be the best quality. I know it's only $4.95 but there are loops of thread as shown in the pic. I think the graphics are sprayed on top of these because it's white underneath the loops. I found at least 5 of these. The edges of the tape are also pretty rough and slightly jagged. All in all, still worth it for me who doesn't like getting measured in store!

Didn't know how useful this would be!

I was sent the bra measuring tape as a free gift with a purchase and didn't think it would be of much use, but it's a really useful tool! I appreciate how easy it is to use and the options it lays out for you in terms of bra sizes that would fit you. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

You measure around your rib cage with the numbered side. Then flip it and where you fall in the color range is your cup size... There is a graft you look at for the colors. The colors are all fairly similar so you can kind of get confused. Nice to have but not too accurate. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Gives you a good idea of what size you are, but bras like all of women's clothing is not universal. So always try on the bra in sister sizes for optimal fit. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Super Convenient!

I like this measuring tape for bras! It is super convenient and makes it easy to shop for the perfect bra size every time. It can be a little difficult to use on yourself, but not impossible. I'd recommend having someone else measure you if you can. The measurement instructions are really easy to understand and to follow. It makes figuring out your bra size at home easier than ever! I love it. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Good to find your ideal size

I realized I have been wearing the wrong size and that is probably why my VS bra size 34-B is uncomfortable at times. I was measured for that size a while ago, so it is nice to have this on hand, since my size can vary at times when I loose weight. I am hoping to start purchasing all my bras and underwear from aerie from now on! Aerie is stepping up the game. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

It was a little confusing because it didn’t have many instructions and I think it was a bit overpriced for a piece of fabric. Besides that i thinks it will be helpful to use one in a while

Hard to understand

I have a very hard time understanding how to use this tape despite reading the directions several times. The one time I thought I understood it, it gave me a bra size so far off from what I've been professionally measured in the past, that I wouldn't trust it to make an online order simply because I don't want to deal with the returns if it's wrong. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

A bit confusing

I bought this hoping it would help but it left me a bit more confused on how to measure correctly. I think I got it right but still won’t know for sure until I receive the bra I ordered based on this measuring tape. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Rarely accurate

The band size side works, but depending on what kind of bra you wear, it usually measures smaller for the bra cup size. When checking where the cup side measured, sometimes it doesn’t even have my band size on where the line ends for my size.

Seems small

I got this free with my order, and I was surprised the tape only went to 42 seeing as lots of plus sized women buy from Aerie. Not sure how accurate it was since it was saying I am bigger than the bra I have know though my bras fit well.

Confusing?

I received this for free, as a promotion with an Aerie bra purchase. I am glad I didn’t purchased this myself; it was honestly confusing... I know it’s inexpensive, but I don’t think it is worth your money. I think you’re much better off getting sized by a professional. I have always had a great experience getting sized by the employees at an Aerie (I have an Aerie store by me, which is awesome)! #AEReviewSweepsEntry

disappointed

this is a very smart idea for a product, I was very excited to try it. unfortunately it was disappointing since the size I measured isn't a size of bra that aerie sells. why would you make a product with a size listed that you don't sell?

Best Fit Finder

I was really excited to buy this product but then I tested it. It was as a back up to make sure my bras fit, I wear a 32C typically, but could probably fit into a B if my weight fluctuates. Anyhow, the reading it gave me was a 34AA? I don’t know how it gave me that reading when I had already measured as a 32 around. Also AA is not accurate at all, and I think that the lengths on the sides didn’t really match up or something. I’m going to keep trying different methods of measuring to give it another chance.

don't bother- it's not helpful

According to the tape, I should wear a 32D (I actually measure very close to the line between 30- 32). That might be accurate, because I have mostly worn 34C because that size is easier to find. HOWEVER, I have not yet found one Aerie bra in 32D that actually fits me. They seem to run much smaller in the band size. I suspect that if I try some other brands, it might work out, but this seems useless for Aerie bras. I just ordered a ton of different styles and sizes, and found that the same size is even variable (for the band size!!) across styles, which is terribly frustrating.

DO NOT USE THIS

I wear a 32DD, sometimes a 32DDD depending on the style. This tape measured me as a 38B. I'm not sure how it got 38 as my band, since the circumference of my ribcage is exactly 32 inches. Just use the /r/abrathatfits calculator.

So far off

I measure at 30" underbust and 35" bust, so according to this measuring tape, I should be wearing a 34A. I have tried 34A bras from Aerie and they are nowhere close to fitting (too loose band, too small cups). I just order my normal size, 32D, from Aerie and that works well. I would just ignore the size chart/measuring tape.

Way off

It looks like my best fit in Aerie bras through trial and error is 34C, but this has me at the 34 A which isn't even close! Definitely a waste of 5 bucks for me :(

Wildly Inaccurate

I bought this because I wanted to properly size myself for a new strapless bra. I wear a 32C, but my whenever I wear a new bra, my band size is too big and I put it on the tightest clasp. I’m also spilling out of my cups. This had me at a 34D. I’m not saying the cup size is wrong, but the band size is definitely wrong. Then I had my roommate try it- she’s a 36D and she said she also complains about spillage, and they put her at a 36B.. uh yeah no lol. I would not recommend this at all, waste of $5 at best, and causing you to find the totally wrong size for you at worst. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

This is wrong

Just so you know, if your ribs measures 30 inches, a 34 band will always be 4 inches too big. The plus 4 inches method has been outdated since stretchy elastic bands have begun to be made. There is a whole Reddit of women who have found the truth about A Bra That Fits. Please throw this away and try to measure yourself correctly. I don’t know why they keep putting us in clothes that don’t fit.

Not accurate...

Not sure what aerie is going by, but if you use a legit seamstress tape to measure you're going to be a good 4-5 inches off. With a seamstress tape I measured a 34" band size on myself, with this it told me I am a 38. I didn't even use the cup portion bc it would have been off based on that. I do own some 38" bands from aerie from when I was pregnant and those basically fall off me now. Maybe there's something I'm not getting in the continuous world of making women's sizing impossible, but I can't suggest others buy this.
