Runs EXTREMELY small, size up a few sizes

I'm fairly small but my chest size is 32DD. A medium or large is my typical fit, but I always size up cuz I dry my clothes in the dryer and they always shrink a little, even on low heat. I ordered this in an XL and holy crap, it fit soooo tightly, it was unreal how undersized it was. I see that their largest size is XXL and I genuinely don't think that would be even close to big enough for me. Wow. However, the material seemed comfortable, so if they did actually make this in a size that would fit me, I bet it would be comfortable.

it looked jokingly small when I took It out of the package, material seemed nice and thick, probably supportive if you find a size that fits, but the XL looked like a small, medium at best #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Who is this supposed to fit?

I really wanted to have a comfy bra to wear around the house, but unfortunately this bra (I got in a size XL) should honestly be labelled as a small or medium. It’s so ridiculously small and not size-accurate, and this is an issue across other bralettes and Aerie sports bras that I’ve tried on. The fit would be great but the band around the bra is extremely tight and restricting. I wouldn’t even suggest sizing up if you’re a large or XL in American Eagle clothing, save yourself wasting your time and don’t buy this bralette. :/

i look at the size chart and it said i would be a large. i ordered a size up just in case so an xl and it was so ridiculously tight and painful to have on. it felt like a high compression sports bra which is not what a “lounge bralette” should feel like.

As you can see in my photo, the white superchill seamless scoop bralette is much smaller than the SMOOTHEZ Seamless Bra-Ish Wireless Bralette that I bought in the same size, in the same order. This is frustrating because I really needed a white bra, and the SMOOTHEZ item is sold out in the white, so I went with this one instead and its clearly mis-labeled.

I loved aerie for its reasonable sizing for so long but its become just like every other brand at this point. the bottom bra picture is a similar style from a year and a half ago while the green bra is the new one. both are supposedly size small. absolutely ridiculous. zero stars aerie.

I own 7 of these bras in Size Small; I wear them with their padding and they all still fit me. I bought 3 of them Size Small a few weeks ago and they were so thight I cant wear them even without padding... Sizes have shrink? Size Small fits more like an XXS size...

I bought an xl and the fit around was tight and fit more like a m/l but the straps were so short even extened to rhe maximum that they dug into my shoulders & when trying to adjust & strecth one strap snapped.

This is so unbelievably small, I actually questioned if it was a children’s size… but then quickly remembered aerie doesn’t sell girls items. I’m a 36C and ordered an XL thinking it would be a little loose and extra comfy… but this fit me like an XS, I could barely get it on! The straps are so scratchy and rigid too. Go ahead and skip this one

I used to get Aeire bras all the time but lately their bralettes have been runnijg soooo small. im usually a large but sized up to XL and it still fits terribly! feels mores like a small. So uncomfy its unwearable. no idea what happened to aerie bralettes

I am a frequent shopper from AE and Aerie, so I was disappointed when i got this and it was WAYYYY to small! I ordered an XL my normal size (180lbs and 38C for reference) from aerie and I couldn't not get this bralette over my head hardly, it fit like a small. Super cute, just be weary of the sizing.

I needed to replace my sleeping bras. The price was right and the fabric seemed nice. I ordered 3 of this style and 2 of the other style. Same issue in both styles. The bra fits nicely around but is weirdly short in the rise. Even letting all of the slack out of the strap it is too short. It pulls on my shoulders whilst still riding up. Otherwise the fabric is lovely and supportive. Not for tall persons, not for large bosoms.

I bought this bra last week and it is very see through. When I put it on, you can see the padding very visibly. It looks like nipples since the padding doesn’t cover the entire bra and only the middle of each side. Won’t be returning since I took the tag off already before trying it on.

Ordered an XL and it fits snugger than some of my medium sports bras. The O rings hurt my back and the straps are super short! Dont reccomend!!!

I'm a 36DD, so I do have a larger chest, but I pretty consistently wear XL bralettes across brands including Aerie. However, when I tried this bra on it was EXTREMELY TIGHT. Like, it looked like a binding bra on me. Sad to think that I, a DD, have to wear the largest size XXL, but anyone larger than a DD is outta luck. Very disappointing from a brand that markets their sizing as "inclusive."

purchased a few bralettes, usually a large/xlarge in the chest. This arrived with two other L bralettes and this XL looks like a small. very confusing. it is tiny and the straps are incredibly thick not like the picture. I understand for support but there is no lower support only giant straps on a very small bralette.

I'm a 38DD and ordered two in XXL, which according to the size chart should fit up to 42DD. Measured both and they are at least 1-1.5" smaller than similar style and material bralettes purchased in 2021 and 2023. Wonder if they're mislabeled. Disappointing.

I purhcased the bra in store and wore it for maybe an hour before the strap ripped off. Seemed like it was poorly made because the strap just popped right off like it was barely attached in the first place

I usually wear XL in Aerie bralettes, but even the XXL felt WAY too small! These fit at least 3 sizes too small, in my opinion. Unless you're flat- or smaller-chested, I'd pass on this style!
