I own a bunch of these now in this style and the bootcut. I bought medium for comfort because I dislike tight clothing on my legs or arms. They're a little loose on my small ankles, but they fit my runner's calves, and they fit my wide latin hips. I bought a small long for long runs even though it's less comfortable because it stays up better. I don't have long legs but my waist is high and i like full length leggings on my ankles. The calves are snug and so are the hips but the waist really holds even running hills and I get sun protection on my ankles. These would be perfect with no front seam. No leggings, bike shorts or boyshorts should ever have front seams. Ever.

nice support especially in the waist. the sizing runs the same as other aerie leggings, i got a size small.

I had to size up because they fit tighter with more compression than the crossover leggings Im 5’4” and weigh 132lbs i like when they fit like this i got the grey and i really like them!

I get Aerie leggings for my daughter for all gift occasions. They are the only ones she will wear!

These leggings are amazing! I love the back pocket in the waistband too. I’m 5’4” and 145 lbs and I ordered the small short, which is my usual size. They hit right above my ankles. I’m a size 2 or 4 short in AE jeans as well. The waist is high enough, has some compression, but doesn’t dig in. I have washed mine at least 4 times now and they’ve held up fine in both the washer and dryer with no pilling. I like that these stay up, unlike the crossover leggings... The material is thicker on these, but also flexible and soft, but don’t lose their shape.

If any of the reviews convince you to buy these leggings, let it be this one. I am 5'9, ~130 lbs, 26" waist. I am a diehard lululemon align super hi-rise 28" legging fan because of its softness, stretchiness, and compression level, however that price point is EVIL and the super hi-rises tend to be harder to find. I have found that the Aerie Real Me leggings are too thin and delicate, with not enough compression, while the Aerie Goals leggings are a nice fabric but ill-fitting for such a compressive fit. IMHO, the Aerie Hugger leggings are by far the closest pair I have found to the aforementioned aligns. The fabric is matte and buttery soft to the touch. It feels thick, supportive, and definitely squat-proof, but not constricting. The waist is HIGH, high enough to cover my belly button which is a rarity for myself to find among leggings, even those advertised as hi-rise. I find them to be slightly less stretchy and a little thicker than the aligns, I don't think one could size down in the same way you can with the aligns (I went with my true size small long). TLDR: Lulu align girly adores these. Comparable to aligns. Long lengths fit similar to the super hi-rise 28".

Amazing quality leggings :) I purchased these in 3 different colors and I absolutely love them. They are super comfortable, can be worn to the gym Or dressed up with one of the aerie unreal cable Knit sweaters for a dressier look :)! I consider these to be squat proof, and i got these in my usual size L They feel more fitted and the material is thicker but not overwhelming i LOVE THEM

I bought this about two weeks ago. It was shipped fast. The quality is very nice and definitely hugs your hips and stomach as. it fits well and is true to size.

My daughter likes these leggings. I wish there were pockets on the sides instead of just a small pocket in the back. Otherwise these are great. My daughter looks for leggings with more durability and thicker material so she can wear them at school.

Unfortunately not my favorite legging from aerie. I wanted to love it but can’t deal with the rolling down of the waistband. Material feels nice but not ideal when bending down because you will find yourself fixing yourself

I’ve been buying aerie leggings for years and these are so so awful holes the first time I wore them and the fabric just piles away mind you i said the first time you wear them and customer service is a joke unless you want 15 or 25% off your next purchase…

Not sure if this is more a complaint about the leggings or the customer service. I just got these leggings on Nov. 20, I only wore them once and they already have a small hole in the leg. I’ve never had issues with Aerie leggings in the past, but I was surprised when customer service would not exchange/replace or even offer a discount because I had already worn the item (again only once). I am very disappointed to say the least because I did really like them for the short moment I could actually wear them. I had a similar issues years ago with a pair of Lululemon Aligns and their customer service replaced the pair without hesitation. I guess you get what you pay for and maybe Lululemon is worth the extra $!
