I’m a size 8 in pants , 5’2 and I ordered a Large Short. Large was perfect! kind of snug on the waist but I think its just the compression. The waist band is pretty thick. It also has the compression on your thighs to give you the nice lift. Also, keep in my that the short length made it an ankle legging, so I’ll probably order more color but in large regular

I thought they were very cute and fit nicely and had a good texture. I just personally have some sensory issues so wasn’t a huge fan of how the supports felt returned them for a regular pair which was nice and quick and easy. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

The leggings are so cute and make your butt look great! The only pairs of leggings that doesn’t make me self-conscious about my pancake butt loll. However, during my first yoga class wearing them, everytime I’d bend over the waistband would roll down which was super annoying and distracting. Also, they are very slightly see through so I only wear with nude underwear.

I do like these. These are the first American Eagle leggings to roll down. I think because I needed to size up. I wear an xl in all American Eagle leggings and love them. These I needed an XXL. I will be sizing up in the Xtra hold next time.

I like the fit of this and the extra contour under the bum helps to lift it up. The only thing i'm a little disappointed about is that it does show sweat, especially around the crotch area. I'm not too embarrassed by it but it would have been nice to have a thicker or more sweat wicking fabric. Saying that, I will still wear it to the gym #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Sorry to break your heart, but I did not see much of a lift and I am 22 years old. I workout especially my glutes! I will say to size up because the waist band is tighter!

The leggins are ok, the waist line rolls down even though it’s supposed to be high waisted. The material itself is very supportive. A little bit thin… would I buy again no.

if the waistband wasn't such a huge issue I would love these, the compression is exactly what i wanted and the material is buttery smooth, but the waist band is like an exercise band it does nothing but roll down. the only other issue I had is the lift only sits in the right spot if you already have a decent size one already.

The real question - how do they compare? No pockets, roll down easily for me, no noticeable lift. I LOVE my aerie leggings, especially the Hold Up! series but this just wasn't it.

Love the butt lift but not a fan of the front look

I tried this item in the store. Loved the back but not a big fan how the front looks. I usually wear an xs but tried these in a small and I loved everything but the front of the leggings. They do lift up your butt, however I find they do make camel toe show more. I'd love if they made these camel toe free version or without the seam in the front otherwise these would be the sexiest leggings with the butt lift feature.

I’ve been a true medium with AE forever, and I’d say these are between a small and a medium - a little too snug. the waistband is also kind of a weird material that threw me off. onto the positives! even with them being slightly too tight, they were squat proof! they still shaped my butt and legs nicely. im going to exchange for a size up. this one is a win for the gym girlies!

First, I love the extra compression in the legs. I typically wear the regular Real Me leggings and have never worn the “hold up” style before. Ironically, the tight compression of the hold up legging waistband causes the waistband to roll down for me. The normal real me legging waistband fits perfectly and never rolls down. I am not sure if I should have sized up, but in my other real me and goals leggings, the XL gives me baggy knees. Again, love the legs on these, but the waistband is what brought the rating down for me.

The description said medium support. They are heavy support. The band around the waist area is like an exercise band. They are the same quality as all the legging I have but I was expecting medium support and the band on these was so rigid I could barely stretch it to get them on.

I got the small because I am in the 4-6 range as the size chart indicated. These leggings are the equivalent of a 0 in Lululemon. The top band feels like a wetsuit. Really small fit and not a lot of give on the waist band. Loved the length and the fit on legs.

im 5’5” 136 pounds and i always order a size small in lighter compression and medium in tighter compression leggings from aerie. i ordered a medium seeing as these had more compression and i could barelt get them up my legs!!! the size says medium so if they really are a true medium you have to go a size up. i think even in a large i wouldnt order these. the waist band is a different fabric which i did not expect and it cinches your waist if that is what you are looking for. but i am all about comfort so i will be exchanging these for the normal leggings. please make more versions of the basic leggings!

I’m usually a medium in aerie leggings but saw other reviews to size up and glad I did! However, i feel like the high rise looks weird on me, maybe cause I have a short torso. I’m also 5’3 and thought I needed the short but they were way too cropped. They do make your butt look good so I’m probably going to exchange for the regular sizing and see how I like them.

If you're looking for a butt lift that is extremely uncomfortable and not at all the "lounge athleisure" legging comfortable style, these are for you. The thick fabric the lines the sides of the legs and sits underneath your butt is so weird and uncomfortable.

Not gym friendly! My thick girls just an FYI they roll from the tummy area so not the best leggings. Like the material but for the price you’d think they wouldn’t roll down but eh

bad waistband

i wanted to love these so bad, but i cant with the waistband. the leggings are great and i love the enhancements included for the butt. the waistband is a different material and almost feels like a wetsuit. its very tight and uncomfortable. i would have kept the leggings if it wasnt for the waistband. will be returning.

I really wanted to love these leggings… but unfortunately, they are way too short. I am 5”7 and they hit right in the middle of my shin. Not sure what’s happened to Arie leggings over the last year in a bit, but they have definitely went downhill.
