Its very flattering, but if you're a pear shape like me or an hourglass shape, I recommend sizing down. There isn't must cinching on the waist, it's loose.

I love the rise and it's so cute from the front. The back shows too much cheek to be considered full coverage. It's more like mid-cheekie. I don't have a big butt, it just really is not full coverage. I have xs bikini bottoms from other years that do fully cover - they just aren't high waisted. So I have to decide between covering my belly or covering my cheeks this summer, when I really just wanted to cover both.

I was hoping this would sit just under my belly button and go up around my hips. I’m 5’10” and it covered my belly button. So perfect in every other way though.

It is a good swim bottom, the material, cut and all. But I may have ordered one size bigger since it comes really high waisted on me like above bellybutton at that. I should have exhange but it's too much trouble and it is not that bad being that high waisted. It is a pretty decent bikini bottom. Lovely.

I bought these a size up from my usual for more coverage and some camouflage during early pregnancy and they’re great- just what I needed. The material is thin and flattering because it lays close to the skin, and the cut on top is cute because it’s kind of a V which is more flattering than straight across, I think. I will definitely be able to wear this until the third trimester. 4 stars because I don’t expect the material to be very durable, but for the price (got it on sale) I don’t mind. But be aware.

I really like the crossover and how flattering it is. I wish there was more compression and I recommend sizing down because they do stretch out.

I love the crossover, high-waisted, and coverage of the design. The fabric is a little bit thin, but I like the light weight feel.

Arrived super wrinkled, but those were easily smoothed. The seams around the edges of the leg holes are a little thick and were uncomfy at first because it was a little snug, but with enough adjusting, it ended up being a great fit and is super flattering. Feels secure.

When I first took them out of the bag, they looked really shiny. When I touched them, they felt like the somewhat rough nylon material. Most of my swimsuits bottoms are from Target, so I didn't know what to expect. They fit nicely. Will be keeping them. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

I like this swim suit bottom, I really do, but the reviews made me think I was ordering an absolute cure for my insecurities. It fits true to size, is comfortable and I do think the v-shaped waistline is extra flattering, but it doesn't have a lot of hold or support. Just don't get your hopes up too high and you will be happy.

As much as I wanted to keep these, I just don't think they worked with my body frame. They looked odd on me. Also, the sizing threw me off a little bit. Originally, I ordered a S and M because I'm usually in between those two sizes as I can sometimes fit into a 2 on a good day but 4 on other days. However, the M was huge and the S had some extra room leftover on my stomach area which is why I ended up ordering an XS as well. The XS fit my stomach but was tight on my butt so I'm sure it's just my body type. This is super cute and comfortable though!

i have a 29in waist and M is a bit loose when in the water so i’d recommend S for this measurement

I just wish these came up a tiny bit higher. The crossover is very flattering, but I wanted like an extra inch of height on these bottoms. They were super cute though!

Based on other reviewers of my size, I purchased a Medium. It was flattering and not too cheek. I ordered for my butt and hips rather than my waist, and ultimately I think if you have a wider difference between your waist and hips, you could size down. The fit was comfortable, though the crossover waistband was a bit looser than I expected - I did not expect it to have any tummy compression to it, but I was still surprised it didn't really hug my waist as much as I pictured it. Overall it's a nice, comfortable basic!

I agree with other reviewers that the cut of this swimsuit is very flattering and of course with a black bottom it could go with any top. For me this was a bit snug. I’m 180 pounds and 5’4” and pear shaped. I usually wear a large in aerie underwear so I ordered a large in this swimsuit but it was too tight. I’m 6ft and size XL. The bathing suit bottoms fit as I expected them to. But the rise wasn’t as high wasted as I would have hoped being a tall girl who also has a little bit of a mom belly that I wanted covered. They were super cute though!!

i don't know if i should've sized up, but i got my regular size and the seams were pretty tight. the back definitely covered my full booty, which was nice. i was expecting a higher rise and i have a bit of a belly so the second i moved the crossover part just slid down. disappointing

Love the coverage but when wearing it for a bit the top tends to roll down and I found myself pulling it up a lot.

I wish it came up a little higher in the front. Also, the fabric is very soft and comfortable but feels thin.

These are VERY full coverage, which is nice but not the most flattering. I wish the legs had a slightly higher cut, because the leg holes were a little low and kind of unflattering on me, they're pretty straight across so it made me look very square in the front. These didn't reach my belly-button, but still hit at a higher than normal point and didn't seem like they would ride down. I'm normally a size 8, and these weren't tight at all, but also didn't feel like they'd be saggy/loose when they got wet. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

I'm tempted to keep a pair because they're very comfortable and would stay in place better for watersport, but they're not that flattering on me. I felt like they broke my body line up into too many different chunks and drew attention to my stomach hips and thighs, and not in a good way. Low rise bottoms look better on me apparently.

I think this is the perfect bathing suit bottom for when you want more coverage. I believed that because it was high-waisted and a crossover style that it would be cheekier. Overall very comfortable but won’t be my go-to black bathing suit bottom.
