Aerie Crossover High Cut Cheeky Bikini Bottom

I love the high-wasted, high-cut style. Unfortunately, they're way too high for me. I'm short wasted. They come up to my bra. Wish I had more of a waist. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Such a flattering fit. Wore them boating because they cover more than my usual swimsuits. But these were disappointing boating because they stretched out right as I got in the water! Maybe size down? But then I feel like they would be digging in. So idk but wouldn’t recommend. Had to keep adjusting them and pulling them up

I’m 5’9, 140-145 lbs depending. Usually a medium in everything. 6-8 in jeans. So I got a medium. I love the cross cut and high leg! That’s what’s flattering!!! But the issue is the thin, flimsy material that reveals my imperfections that I’m not a fan of showing off. If this was an Athleta bottom, the material would be on point (only wish they had THIS cut!) and I wouldn’t be showing off awkward bulges, LOL! I have to kind of scrunch it in the front to hide em. Other issue? The crotch is a little too loose, LOL. But a pro?! I have a FLAT butt and these are the only bathing suit bottoms that don’t give me “grandpa butt” (flat, longer?). So that’s nice! Aerie, a thicker material that holds things in would be heavenly! Please consider that for more bathing suits in this style (or all!). :) #AEReviewSweepsEntry

very cute love the fit of these bottoms however runs a bit big on my waist, it fit but definitely didn't "hold" me in if you know what I mean, could have down sized just hard to find the right size in ae as nothing fits across the board

I like the criss cross at the top of the waist. They’re very comfortable. I have a short torso so they come up a bit high in the back of the waist. Overall I am happy with my purchase though.

I’ve come to the conclusion that I just can’t wear high-waisted bottoms. This is my second or third pair I’ve tried from Aerie and they’re just not for me. I purchased a medium and usually wear a size 2-4 in ae jeans/shorts. It fits I guess but like I said, just not for me. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

I chatted with the customer service rep and told them I had ordered Mediums in the past, which you can see on my account, and they said this bottom runs the same size as the others I have ordered. I tried this on and it goes up sooo high it almost touched my bra. In every other brand I wear a S but AE bottoms have always been a M. I'm 5'4 120 pounds, for reference. This might fit better for someone who is curvy!

the back is a super odd shape and is not flattering at all! fabric is thick and good quality though.

The top of the bottoms are very cute forming that V shape. Unfortunately I had issues with the bottom of the sides. They dug into the side of my legs making me look larger than I am and having my fat squeeze out lol I’m not a large person but have a curvier waist. I was disappointed and will be returning them

I tried these on at home and while the material is really nice to the touch it is very revealing - I feel like I could see every imperfection under the suit. I'm not sure if it was the color (strawberry) and if other colors would be better. It was disappointing because I actually liked the fit. I might try to order in black.

I had such high expectations which might be part of the problem but from all the rave reviews and flattering photos I figured this suit would be the one for me. I'm 5'1, 130 lbs and 8 months postpartum with baby #3. I have the typical "mom pooch" everyone talks about and I figured with suit would be perfect. However it just made me look bulky and awkward around the waist. I have a short waist being only 5'1 and it just didn't sit quite right. I purchased the other high waisted cheeky bottoms with the large banded waist and they actually were more slimming and flattering on than these. I kept those pair and returned these ones. I'm sure this style is great for alot of people but I just am not one of them. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

I was so excited for this one. I’m a true medium. Have been for 17 years in AE/Aerie. These were oddly too big. Too loose in the bum area and I have a big booty. I’m five foot one and 135 pounds. Love the design. Sent back and going to order the ones that are regular and not cheeky. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Ordered a size medium fit well and true to size. Once I wore them after being in the water all elasticity gave out and the bottoms became to big. It’s unfortunate because I really wanted to like them and now can’t return them.

I was excited for these to arrive until I seen the material and tried them on. These do not offer any coverage in the back OR the front. Turns into a thong reaaallly fast.
