Aerie Gauzy Cover Up Shirt

The short is comfy as a coverup but I wore this 3 times and it ripped at the elbow while I was getting up from the couch. The quality just isnt great.

I never received te product . Contacted support 4x and no luck

Bought a small, washed it as directed, TOTALLY shrunk!

This looks so cute in the pictures but like a homeless person’s shirt in person. The strings get so long and come off EVERYWHERE. No amount of pulling or trimming appeases this shirt. I am convinced the whole thing will unravel after 5 wears. So disappointing. Unbelievable that American Eagle would sell a shirt with such unwearably bad quality.

I have now owned this exact shirt twice and its the ripped in the elbow twice, same exact location. bad material, I really wanted to love this shirt.

Why do some think this style runs big? I found it to be true to size and and I am upset because it took almost 2 weeks to get my order and now size L is sold out. What is wrong with AEs shipping? Why start on west coast then ship to the otherside then back? I’m so frustrated with this order from bad reviews and shipping. I have narrow shoulders so sizing down works for me in loose items but this style isn’t it. This item fit snug across and looked like a fitted button down. It was no where close to loose coverup style. I do like the material but I’ll never get the green and blue tops in my size since they are now sold out. 😭

I gave this one a try, but I should have listened to other reviews saying that the older style was more flattering. They were right! I look forward to buying a new colour every summer to add to my collection. The new style just isn’t the same with the collar, unflattering sleeves & material with strings everywhere. I returned this, as it was more like a basic shirt than the pool to party cover up that I love.

i really wish the older style of this shirt would come back becauee everyone LOVED It. This newer style has a dropped shoulder seam that creates a large broad puffed out effect on the upper arm that isnt flattering

This is HUGE. I ordered a small and it fits like a large. I wouldn't even exchange it for an extra small because I know it would still be way too big.

I bought this shirt over a month ago and was really excited about it. After trying on the shirt the only thing I was excited about was the length.  The strings come off everywhere, the shirt quality seems poorly made. One of the buttons came off and left a hole.  Don’t  waste your money like I did, got both white and black

I bought this shirt a month ago and was really looking forward to it as I bought in both white and black. After trying on the shirt I was happy with the length that was about it. I recently had a button pop off and leave a hole in the shirt. It’s constantly shedding strands from the shirt. I feel it was poorly made and all around not worth the money.

i thought this was great, i used it as a coverup on my vacation! i got home and washed it in a garment bag and when i pulled it out of the bag it had compeltely fell apart and now looks shredded. be careful!

I can’t review the item yet because the wrong item was sent and I now need to go into the store and try to make the exchange. Disappointed the correct item didn’t come in time for my vacation.

I washed this ONE TIME according to the tag and its full of tiny strings coming off the edges! I paid $54 for this shirt and imho it should no be deteriorating after 1 wash like this... Love aerie stuff and the quality is usually worth the price, just not for this top.

After the first wash every frayed edge came very unravelled all over the shirt, even after cutting them back it looks terrible. Im scared after the second wash there will be no shirt left! Dont waste your money! Absolutly terrible quality!

i usually catch when a shirt has raw edges on it, but for some reason i didn’t this time. i mean— how do they expect us to wash this without the raw edges unraveling and fraying everywhere? what a waste
