Aerie Textured Cape

Absolute waste of money! I bought the white version, I wore it once and when I washed (cold, delicates cycle) it shrunk to the size of a toddler shirt, as other reviewers have since mentioned. I checked the tags and there was no indication it could not be washed, even if so, what use is a swimsuit coverup that cannot get wet or be laundered normally? Huge disappointment!

Loved wearing this coverup to the pool last weekend and received many compliments! I was looking forward to wearing throughout the summer, but to my surprise after taking it out of the wash (on cold and delicate) it shrunk to the size of a cardigan from babies r us. The last tag in fine print mentions dry clean only, which seems absolutely absurd for a beach cover up that will most likely get wet? I expected better quality coming from Aerie, especially at the price I paid and I wish there were reviews to warn me of the cheap material before purchasing.

I bought this cover-up and LOVED it for a trip to the beach, however I came home and washed it in COLD for a quick cycle and it's no longer a kimono it's a baby shawl....tried to stretch it out while wet and to no avail. Can't buy a cover-up you can't wash! Skip this one sadly :(
