Great but be cautious

While I am happy with the purchase I feel like you need to understand OVERSIZE is not an understatement. I usually wear an XL and this is a Medium! I never share pics but felt like you need to know this before purchasing because one size down might not cut it. It's also thicker than I expected.

Very oversized but I was counting on it shrinking down AND IT DID! Its still a bit wide but it's very soft and cozy and I like the deeper red color. I didn't notice much bleeding or color transfer. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

I bought this shirt in the black twill. Even the XXS is still *too* oversized on me, and I’m 5’4” and 130lbs. It’s awesome that it’s 100% cotton, and longer. The sleeves fit good, but overall it’s too boxy of a cut for me, unfortunately. But it is very soft and comfy! If you order, you’re going to want to size down…a lot.

Love that this flannel is 100% cotton! and i love the deep color of the dark brown and black plaid. (deep green next, please!)
ill wear it around the house because it’s comfortable.
But this cut is exactly like a +size mens shirt. Even for being oversized, it is wayy too wide and short. about 6 in could be taken from both sides and it would still be extremely wide.
i’m 5’5” and 135lbs and carry mkst of my weight in stomach and hips. usual top size: S, but i got this in an XS

A Fall staple, nice weight, quality and fit, cherry colour is super nice. Knocked a star off as the shirt just smelt awful when it arrived I had to wash a couple of times before wearing.

So glad AE has continued to bring back the 100% cotton flannel, however this shirt is oversized by a lot. I went down wo sizes and still have room to spare, because of that the arms are a little shorter than I would prefer. Really comfortable and beautiful colour, I got mine on sale they are pretty pricey this year.

i am 5’4 about 190 pounds. i bought a medium, and it fits nicely oversized. i do think a small wouldve fit, and still wouldve been slightly oversized. large wouldve been too sloppy. its not as soft as previous flannels ive owned in the past from them, but its still soft. its thinner, perfect for chilly fall days. i do recommend, i bought the red/white one, might buy the brown! the colors match the photos well. i would say size down 1 if you want a classic oversize flannel, size down 2 if you want a more fitted look.

I have a few Anytime Fave shirts, so when i saw it in Cherry Tart, I knew I had to have it. It’s a beautiful shirt, however, I think the length was cut too short in the front. My denim Anytime Fave shirts are about 2” longer, which makes a difference in the look. Debating if I will keep this one.

This is a really beautiful shirt, but I learned the hard way that 2 of me would fit in an XL… so I had to do an exchange for a medium, which fits me much better but even it is a little oversized and I am a size 40 DDDF in the bust. I really was shocked. But I’m glad that I was able to get one that fit me. And the cherry tart yoga pants that go with it. They look great together along with the Henley. The reason I’m giving the three stars is that I’m sure I’m not the only one who isnt aware what a huge size difference this is and it doesnt say it on the description to buy 3 sizes smaller than you normally would.

I ordered two sizes smaller than my typical oversized fit due to the reviews. The medium fit me pretty good but the sleeves aren’t very long. The fabric is 100% cotton but it does not list whether or not it has been pre-shrunk or not. I did end up returning because I don’t want to risk it shrinking and not being allowed to return.

Sizing Way Off

I get the over sized look is in but trying to find the right size online is getting to be impossible. Im 220 lbs, 5’6” newly postpartum, typically wear XL or XXL and am returning a medium as it looks huge and sloppy. Shirt is nice, it would just be nice to not have to do so many returns and re ordering due to sizing being so inconsistent.

I love this shirt except the fit... It's excessively oversized to the point where I ordered two sizes down and it's still HUGE. Would much prefer to choose to oversize my shirt by going up in sizing rather than Aerie make them giant.

Arrived wet + moldy

Typically I'm very pleased with Aerie products and customer service. Today i received this top soaking wet and moldy. I absolutely understand things happen, things outside of their control, and I wasn't upset until contacting customer service. They told me to just return it and buy a new one.. not helpful, and pretty sure the employee at my local store won't want to touch it either. Not impressed with their customer service.
