definitely do not agree that these are true size. They do not have any stretch at all so I recommend going up a size or two. These would have been better if there was some stretch in the thigh and hip area. Love the way they look... they just don't have the same stretch other jeans have

i love the jeans but the waist is pretty low but it isn’t a problem but it was kinda small in the thought and butt area so i would size up one size but the style of the jeans are so cute!

For years I've been a 2 in jeans & shorts but after reading the reviews I ordered these in a 4. I have other tomgirls in a size 2 & I like how relaxed they fit through the legs, despite my curves. These are completely different. They're much tighter in the upper leg & butt area and the material is much stiffer. There is no way I would have fit into my normal size in these. They're really cute but kind of disappointed in the change. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

So I do love these jeans! My main complaint is there is less butt room than usual , I wear a 10/12 here. So I went with a 12 due to the style! The waist and leg fit is just fine! It's mainly the butt for me. I do wish the waist was a little more stretchy though. Basically if you have a bigger butt, id go up a size, but i do love them ❤

I really love these jeans. They’re one on my favorite pairs of tomgirls, however, I did have to return and size up. They do not have any stretch to them.

Ok so I'm 5'7'' and about 200lbs. I normally wear a size 10 sometimes an 8 depending on the stretch of the jeans. I ordered these jeans in a size 10 Long because I like when the jeans are more at my ankle rather than my shin. They do not go past my hips but I LOVE THE WAY THEY LOOK. There is not stretch at all but the material and appearance are great. I am returning the 10Long to size up to a 14. Hopefully it fits perfectly. I would recommend this jean if you already know how this style of jean fits. Stay tuned for my next review...J.Peso.

This Is My Reorder, I Originally Ordered My Normal Size 6 In This Jean However I Looked At The Wrong Tomgirl Jean That Had Stretch ( My Fault) But My First Impression With The First Order Was Size Up! With The Reorder I Got A Size 8 Xtra-Short Due To Thats The Only Size They Had Left. The Reorder Pair Fits Better But Still Small. I Suggest Anyone Who Orders Tomgirl Jeans Minus The Ones With Stretch To Size Up TWO SIZES From Their Normal. All In All These Are Cute But I’ll Probably Won’t Be Ordering Anymore In The Tomgirl Style. My Local AE CS Reps Mentioned That Tomgirl Size, Fit, Look Is Different.

I usually wear a size 2 and they usually fit me really well. These jeans are large around my waist but not my legs. They start to stretch after wearing them through out the day! They have regular Jean material if you’re a material person #AEReviewSweepsEntry

These fit very tight around hips and butt even though they look like a relaxed fit. Size up now since they will not have your size when you go to return.

I normally am a 6L in all of their jeans. I couldn’t get these over my hips. It’s sad because I loved the style. I weigh 145 lbs and I’m 5’9”

I adore American Eagle jeans but these were just not right for me. These jeans were very stiff and would not go over my hips. I’m a size 8 (short if available) but sized up to a 10 based on reviews I had read. The jeans simply did not fit, but the overall color and destruction was great. I personally wouldn’t exchange this pair for another size. If you like stiffer jeans then you these might be in your wheelhouse. I also did not like the all button front- it was difficult to button them, even when off.

I usually wear a size 12 lately and have no problems. Sometimes they are even a little bit. This style has NO stretch whatsoever.. i wish I had ordered a size up, bc I can barely fit into the 12.. im debating also buying one size up.. i like the style though, had they fit.

I wear a size 4 in everything for AE but I could not get these past my hips. They are also made of a stiffer material and have very little stretch. The fly is also all buttons. They do not have a zipper which I was not aware of when I purchased these. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

These jeans would be perfect if they didn’t have so much distress. I am a grandma and I don’t want to wear jeans that make me feel like I’m trying to be 20 again. I like the 100% cotton jean(or close) and that is super hard to find. Love the button fly, and the jeans are super soft. I like old school denim, not a big fan of stretch. These were perfect except way too many holes! I wish AE would come back with some jeans in cotton with no holes, ok, maybe 1 or 2 small ones, they are fun, but I don’t want half my leg showing. Great jeans other than the holes

I was really looking forward to getting these jeans but the fit is about 2 or 3 sizes too small :( I could not button one button. I will be returning them

I know my size on AE jeans like the back of my hand. I normally buy online or never even try in store because I know for sure they’ll fit. I did the same with these and finally tried them on once I got home and I had to make sure they were the right size. I could barely get them up. Super cute pair of jeans but the sizing for some reason was way off.

I only by ae jeans and I must say I was suprised how unhappy I was with this pair They are smaller in the waste then every other pair and then so large in the leg area I was expecting them to be loose but def not at all like they were I’m gonna stick with the jegging and the jegging crop like I usually do

I ordered this pair in a size 12 long, Didnt even button for me what so ever, too small. Soo disappointing. Will be returning. I’d give em 0 stars if I could.

The waist is not true to size, the thighs are tightest part on the pants which makes them uncomfortable and hard to move/sit down. Not to mention the pocket/zipper area hangs very loose and is very unflattering. Will definitely be returning!

I was expecting these to fit much like the previous "tom girl" jeans i have bought from AE. However, there is absolutely no stretch or give to these jeans. I am a true size 10 and after looking through the reviews, decided to size up - after ordering a size 14, I was not even able to get these jeans past my hips. Totally disappointed

I’ve worn American Eagle jeans for years. My go to are their bootcut jeans, but since those are mostly out of stock, I decided to try these. My size 12 boot cuts fit like a glove. Absolutely no issues. Ordered a size 12 in these and there’s absolutely no way I can button them let alone sit down without them ripping they’re so tight. Realistically I feel like I need a 16 in these which is so crazy because American Eagle’s size 12 fit me like a dream. Very disappointed in the sizing discrepancy.
