AE Oversized Patchwork Sweater Vest

Fits slightly oversized, very nice thick quality. The armholes are big though so you’ll most likely have to wear a shirt or thank underneath.

I had seen a similar item elsewhere for a lot more $$$ This one is exactly what I wanted at the price point I’m comfortable with.

This sweater vest was definitely one of those last-minute, add-to-my-cart impulse buys, but totally me. I'm a sucker for a sweater tank situation and the quirky, mismatched pattern totally spoke to me. The material is comfortable on the skin and it lays in a laid-back, fashionable way. I went with an XS, but I do wonder if I could have even gone with an XXS. I typically wear an XS and that one looked nice on my frame despite the oversize fit. While the hem is cropped, I found that it wasn't too short that I couldn't tuck it in my pants in the front. The v-neck fit around my neck very nicely. My only issue with this sweater vest was under the arms. They're VERY open and there's no existing seam to keep the bottom of the armholes together, so you can see right in there. Probably not an issue if you were to layer this over something else, but my preference is to wear it more like a tank. Maybe a pretty bralette would look okay or a bodysuit or even doing a little DIY alterations. Had I known that the sleeves were like this, I might not have ordered it. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

I ordered a medium because I wanted it nice and big (I’m usually a small in the oversized items). But, this doesn’t fit oversized at all and it’s very short - like above my hips. I like it tho so I’m going to return it and get an xxl
