AE Stretch Cargo Straight Pant

Beautiful rust color -- perfect for fall. And the style itself is so throwback. (Pair with some converse and a baby tee and you're ready to be in an old school MTV music video). These are quality material, thick but not corduroy. I actually got size 000 Reg, normally I am a 0 but these pants ARE BAGGY. that's just the look of them-- not a bad thing, you just may want to size down. I'm also only 5'1 and probably could have gotten away with getting the short length for a more tapered at the ankle look, but they didn't have that in store. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

I like the style of the pants and how there are so many pockets. The material is also very nice, and it doesn't cling onto my skin (in contrast to something like a legging) so it feels loose and airy. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

i love these jeans, i got navy but they look black in most lights. the rise is a little lower then i would’ve liked and a little lose around the waist. other than that these jeans are super cute

Kinda wish they were slightly more fitted but still very cute pant! I roll the length and they make cute capris

Really nice pants but the super stretch makes them run big and they’re also longer than shown in the picture. Bought a 6 reg but gonna exchange for a 4 short

Not for curvy gals I’m an hourglass shape with thick thighs, hips and a butt and these just looked awkward on me. Definitely more suited to slimmer builds with less curves. Color and quality were nice but had to return. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Might just be how it fit on me, but I wasn't a fan of how they fit. I think if they were higher waisted they might have been a better fit. I returned. Great color and loose fit though! I am still looking for cargo pants.

I really wanted to love these cargo pants, but the rise was too low for me. They are advertised as high-rise but they are mid-rise at best. They also fit larger than expected because the sides are bunchy elastic. Sadly had to return. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

As another reviewer mentioned, these pants are wonderful but faded showing weird spots with first washing. Thankfully AE stands behind their merchandise, so they replaced them. I haven't washed the new pair yet. I LOVE the fit, so I hope they don't fade.

Not as high rise as expected, gives intense CT if that is a concern. Super cute though!

I wanted to love these. I was able to size down in these because of the stretchy waist. The long is about a regular inseam so I returned. Very flattering. Returned.

I like the idea behind these but not happy that doesn’t come in extra short as your short make them look baggy and sloppy. I’m 5’4 and equally portioned but these don’t fit length wise. I’m finding most of pants at AE do this now! Sad because I buy them because need shorter length and used to love fit.

I really wanted to love these! And everything was perfect except for the rise. These are advertised as high rise, but they were more like a mid rise. Maybe it fit like a mid rise due to my body type, but it wasn't flattering on me. So unfortunately, I had to return them :( Please make them in a higher rise!

These looked so cute when I tried them on; however, they were wayyyy too long for me. I've always ordered the "short" length and these were much longer than any of my other pants. They also run a little bit big in the waist, and the rise is lower than other high-waisted jeans I've ordered from here.

I wanted to love these pants bc the material is super stretchy, soft, and breathable but the rise just ain’t it. I’m 5’3 180 but with larger hips and legs so while the 12 was technically a perfect fit bc of the stretchy waistband, it was giving camel toe AND flattening my butt. I don’t think the issue would’ve been solved with a larger size, so while this might work for girls with a straighter figure, these are a no for me.

I love these pants. After you put them on, and wear them for an hour or so, it looks like you slept in them or pulled them out of a pile of dirty clothes. Too bad cause the cut and style is adorable. Runs 2 sizes larger. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

I am a huge fan of cargo pants. These were great after I sized down 2 sizes. The problem for me is that they wrinkle so bad. The way they are made is just off. I have a pair of cargos from 10 years ago from another store. They gap and wrinkle in the right places. I think these look like you never washed them. I also think the material is too light for the stretch waistband. These would be perfect if you are lucky to have a booty which I don't lol. I guess if I ironed them and starched the heck out of them they would be ok for a few hours. The length is fine which is about 2 inches too long for me but the shorts are too short, and I dont mind rolling them up. All in all I'm just not satisfied wth the style. Just my opinion. So I just got this pants last week and they are very nice! Love the fit and the color but today I washed it for the first time following the instructions on the tag (separated, cold water, normal laundry detergent) and it got stains all over it like the color faded in some spots.. I really don’t know what I did wrong but is the second pair of pants from AE that I have ruined when I try to wash (????).. so sad.. UPDATE.. after drying on the machine looks like the color got even but it definitely fades to a light grey..

I have these pants in olive green in a size 6. I ordered my usual size, and they fit amazing (5'5, 145 pounds). I was slightly disappointed because the rise is slightly lower than I expected, but my main issue lies with the waist. It fits great, however they constantly slide down. The waist band will not stay up no matter what I do. I am not a fan of belts, but I think it is the only way to keep these pants from falling down. The fit is great, the length is great, they look great, but be prepared to constantly hike up the waist with every step you take.

Absolutely loved the fit and feel of these flattering and comfortable pants, however after the first wash both pairs I ordered in different colors are completely ruined!!! They look camo now because somehow the dye washed out in splotches all over the pants, for this price I literally just lost 120$! Do not buy unless you’re fine with wearing once and potentially having to throw them away after the first wash. (I only use Tide Free and Gentle detergent) so dissatisfied and disappointed.

I wore these ones and washed them and the color faded with weird spots light spots all over them, making them unwearable. I’m so upset, I absolutely loved these look pants, I’m 120 5’5”, and the 2 regulars fit perfectly. I tried to bring them back to the store but they said the best they couldn’t exchange or refund them.
