AE Stretch Low-Rise Tomgirl Jean

Please don’t make the mistake and order your normal size, you will be disappointed, because they run huge. I am normally a size 4 in the Tomgirl Jeans and a size 2 in Mom Jeans, I ordered a 0 in these after reading the reviews and they were still to big. I reordered a size 00, and I’m sure they will fit. The length is also very long. I like to roll my Tomgirl and Mom jeans but these are so long, that they looked ridiculous rolled. So, I ordered a short this time. For reference, I am 5’4 and weigh 120. Going down 2 sizes would be the perfect fit I believe, and still have enough room for that Tomgirl fit. 😀

Size Down Down! With tomgirl jeans depending on how you want to style them depends on what size you order. I usually wear an 8 or 10 in Jeans and I got into a size 6. Never in my adult life have I been a 6. I kept the size 6 to wear out and kept a size 8 for everyday use like running errands. They do stretch but kept their shape well. I’ve been wearing tomgirl jeans for years, I always try different colors. And always size down. Unless you want the lose fit look then you can probably order your regular size but they’ll look big on you I think. I’m 5’10 so I order Long or X Long depending on colors.

So they say “low rise” they’re not really but they do hit right below my belly button which is lower than most of the high rise stuff out there. I am normally a 6 in AE and got a 4 and they’re still a tad loose but really a little loose is what you’re going for in this style of jeans - they’re quite cute and very comfortable!

I love these jeans! I was looking for something with a darker wash and these were one of the few offered. I love the way they fit—they say low rise, but they’re more of a mid rise (at least on me). I have a short torso and longer legs and the fit is perfect. I think they’re also very flattering for me no-waist figure. I think the Tomgirl jeans are my new favorite style.

I got a pair of Tomgirl jeans last year and loved them. They have a little bit of a looser fit and are very comfortable. I don’t like too high of a rise and these are more of a mid/lower rise, which is perfect. This pair is very stretchy. I originally got a 4x-long, but they were too big around the waist. I returned for a 2x-long and they were also too big. I finally exchanged for a 0 long and they fit nicely. I love these jeans. They are a little loose but not too big and they’re super comfortable. The button fly was a surprise at first but I ended up ordering a second pair and knew what to expect.

Baggier than expected but a comfy, welcome change from any form fitting jeans. Wear and wash well.

I love the little bit of stretch! I love that they’re not super low rise. They sit right on my hips perfectly. For a girl with thighs and a butt who doesn’t want skin tight jeans but not overly baggy either, these are perfect!

Love these jeans!! They do run large!! I’m 5’8, 130 lbs, and normally wear a 2 long. I ordered 0 long and it fits perfect! They do run slightly cropped, but super cute!!

Overall, I like them. I didn’t want to give up my skinnies and hop on the mom Jean trend. I thought I’d try these because they’re supposedly a hybrid. So, my only gripe is I felt they stretched a bit after wearing and got even baggier. I got a size 10 when I am normally an 8 because I wanted a more relaxed look. I’m going to have to exchange for a smaller size. They were so large, I could take them off without unbuttoning them! I ordered them in regular length so I could roll them up if I wanted too. They were higher than expected, however, being a child of the 80’s and an adult of the ‘00’s I’m a fan of low rise. I love the thickness of these jeans. They remind me of old school AE. It would have been nice if in the description, AE mentioned that the fly was button instead of zipper. But since I want this style Jean, I’ll deal with it. Would I recommend these, absolutely. Just at least 1 or 2 sizes down!

These jeans are perfect for me. They're long enough to wear unrolled but also look great rolled. Baggy in all the right places but not at all sloppy looking. And I love the medium blue wash, not too light or too dark. The stretch is just right as well!#AEReviewSweepsEntry

The jeans run a little bigger around your thighs. Comfortable jeans to wear.

I love the style of AE's Tomgirl jeans. I ordered these and another pair in bright bluebell (which didn't run as big as this color) just a couple months ago. I love that they're a relaxed fit, low/mid-rise, tapered, full length, AND soft! Unfortunately my other pair split in half after two washes, in the exact same way as the person below, and they were my favorite jeans but aren't being sold anymore. Wish AE would add more colors without distressing and would fix the sizing of Tomgirls because I love the look of this style so much but somehow can't size down anymore. I'd buy them all!

Cute jeans, nice fabric, great fit but I don’t care for the buttons. They are difficult to unbutton sometimes.

I didn't order short because it's usually too short on me, but these were so long I had to make the cuffs larger. Size wise they start off staying up but after a short time they are literally falling off. I kept them, because even though super big they don't look awful and it's nice having jeans that I can wear and eat comfortably. They do fall off though and they don't look right with a belt clinching them up. I just dont wear them all day. I did reordered in a 6 hoping I love them. I'm 5'3" almost lol and around 145-149 I fluctuate

Perfect everyday style that isn't too tight, isn't too loose. At 5'2" I wish I had been able to get the x-short, but the short is an ok length. Definitely not low rise, which is much appreciated. The only downfall and it's not a huge deal is the button fly, don't love that, but oh well, I'll get over it. Love the wash and will definitely purchase again, hopefully in the shorter length

I'm 5'3" @ 205 lbs. I ordered an 18 short. They were big on me, but they did have stretch. I returned them. They made me look frumpy.

Usually fit into a 2 or 4, but wearing a 0 in this photo. Comfy, stretchy, mid-rise (not low), with a button fly. The cuffs can be unrolled.

These indeed fit larger than your usual size - I always order a 12 short but these were starting to fall down after a few minutes of try on, especially with the stretch. They are also not low rise - a 10 inch rise isn't low, considering AE high rise is only a 1/4 inch higher than that. I like a higher rise so that wasn't a a problem for me. Returned to get the next size down instead so we'll see how that goes, but I would recommend sizing down.

Wanted to love these as an in between baggy and straighter style, but they just were not for me. Were a little bit tight in the legs and the bottoms just did not look like they were the right size. I returned and kept some of the other true baggy or straight styles. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

I was actually hoping they would be like boyfriend jeans, but maternal is too stretchy and bag out, the rise is definitely not low rise , there’s only two buttons on the fly closure not enough it puckers , really need at least three buttons. They fit good when you first put them on after washing and drying them. Everyone definitely needs to order a size smaller.

I usually take an 8 in AE jeans, but based on reviews I sized down to a 4. They were still at least one size too big, maybe two! Really cute and comfy style, but I would definitely try on instead of ordering if you can.

These jeans felt so soft and comfy... i ordered a 00 bc i heard they run big. They run very big. I don't know that a 000 would have fit. Disappointing
