I think AE changed their sizing with the addition of the curvy line?
I’ve been a size 2 regular for 5+ years (5’3, 125lbs) and very glad I went into the store to try them on because it was not the right size at all!
Also this pant is more of a straight leg than a skinny (which is what I needed)
Overall very soft and comfy but just sizing beware!

Love love love these pants. They are soft and the most comfortable of all my AE Pants. They can be dressed up or down-not just a school type of pants. Color is the best-I perfer the lighter khakis over darker look. Just my all around favorite.

Very comfortable material. I typically wear regular length pants but needed these in short. Calf section is baggier than many skinny styles I'm used to but was fine for work pants. I fit into a size 2 and 4 short but chose the 4 for a more conservative work look. I would get a 2 if I were wearing them out with friends.

If you have to wear uniform pants to school, these are the ones to buy - they are cool, stylish and have pockets and aren't horrible and baggy like most uniform pants. I bought 3 pairs for school. Yes, I have to wear a uniform, but unlike the uniform pants at The Gap, Lands End, Target etc., at least I have a great shape.

Very soft and comfy, color accurate, had to size up. Im a true 6 w/ AE. These were skin tight and slight muffin top. Im 5”4 and fluctuate between 135-138 lbs. If you have hips, belly/fupa,thighs or bum size up…these will NOT be flattering if you dont. The 6 Reg were super tight in those areas and not in a good way. They looked silly espially at the pockets and bum. I did like how they fit at the knee and calfs better with a 6 but thats it. Both sizes had just enough leg length with Reg that when I sit they dont ride up to my shins. If you are 5”6 & above Id choose long,choose short if you are under 5”3. I decided on sizing up to an 8 Reg an found they are more flattering giving me a more dress pant look vs skinny jeans. I cant say how the stretch wiill affect me thriughout the day but as I wore them for about 30 min I didnt really notice anything that would have me sizing back down due to the stretch. IMO I think I’ll have to get used to these as “pants” as im used to casual jeans wearing my skinny jeans or jeggings that are my normal size 6 vs the roomier 8. The rise also hits me at belly button with either size. If you need dress pants for work or business casual these are very comfy and soft just be mindful with sizing an your body shape and how they will extreamly hug the belly,bum,hips and thigh areas. Not bad at 19.99 for work clothes I might add! I hope my review helps!

My daughter is growing up so fast that only AE can keep her khakis updated. I wish you could have a buy back policy so I could have a discount for having the ones she wore last year with some kind of discount and send the used ones to a young lady who could use them. I bought 4 last year and 4 again this year and nobody knows how good of a brand they are! It's just my girl out grew her size!

AE's pants are usually a consistent fit, look good, and come in short lengths, which is great because I struggle finding pants that fit being so petite. I purchased 0 short and the skinny pant's waist area fit perfectly and the rise was as expected. However, the length was *not* short. Both the khaki and black were almost 3" longer than my 0 short jeans and navy pants (of the same item #). Even x-short was too long. So not sure why the length is so off? Otherwise, they are great. Debating about having them hemmed, but may also just return them.
