AE Low-Rise Tomgirl Jean

I wanted a less fitted pair of jeans. I’m not a fan of Mom jeans but these Tomgirl jeans are just what I was looking for. They are more of a straight cut and the rise isn’t too high. They run a little big so if you are in between size down.

I wear a 00 Short in a lot of my American Eagle jeans, and they always fit, so I ordered a 00 Short in these originally, but they were huge on me, so I exchanged them for a 000 short, but they are still a little big on me. So, the waist runs a bit larger than some of the jeans, so you might have to order a size smaller than you usually do. The rise is still low, but a little higher than your usual low-rise jeans. But everything else fits just right. These jeans have a button fly. They have a more relaxed, good kind of baggy look to them which makes them cute to wear rolled or unrolled either way you like. But overall, they look cute and they feel comfortable.

These jeans fit really well and are super comfortable.

I'm roughly 5 ft. 3 in./130 lbs., and the 4 Short fits great! I originally ordered a 6 Regular, and they were HUGE in addition to being longer than expected. The 4 Short offers the slightly relaxed look I was going for without being baggy and frumpy - very similar to what's shown on the model. I can wear them rolled or unrolled. A zipper fly would have been more comfortable, but I do like the look of the button fly. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Buy them they are so comfy!!! If you like the rolled look get regular if you like the ankle length get short. I am 5’8” and get short so that they are ankle length

These jeans are amazing! They are extremely comfortable and fit perfect. I have been looking for non-stretchy jeans and these are perfect. My only negative is they do not come in a non-destructed option.

They’re lose and comfy ( a little bigger than I expected) but I don’t mind it’s not that big of a deal I just wish that the sizing was a little bit true but I can’t imagine fitting into a size 2 so I’m glad I got a 4. These are not as low rise as I thought, but they fit well. I ordered up one size because I wanted them baggy.

I am absolutely in love with these jeans! I usually wear a 4 but bought these in a 2. They are called low rise but they hit just below my belly button (and no plumber butt when I bend over). Super comfy and soft. Great length for me. I would love to have in different colors! Stylish with a few rips in the pockets but as a mom of three, still conservative. Love!

I love the fit of these jeans, very 90s and cute! These sit low on the waist and because they are true denim, they will stretch out between washes so be sure the fit isn’t too loose when you first try them on. I get a compliment every single time I wear these jeans! I’ve been pairing them with oversized cream colored sweatshirts, Birkenstocks, and sometime a crisp white linen shirt, French tucked. I am in love with these jeans!! They are the exact light color I was looking for!! There is very little stretch, which I am ok with. So cute with sandals or low top converse.

I really like these jeans. I did have to return and reorder for a smaller size, but when they fit right they are super cute and comfortable. For reference I'm about 4'11 and 91lbs and ordered a 000short. The 00 were absolutely bagging on me, and I normally wear a 0 in jeggings. They aren't heavy weight but aren't super light weight denim, and I like this pair for the minimal holes. As far as the comments that they aren't low rise, they are definitely lower rise than my high rise jeans, and I prefer them not extremely low like early 2000's. 5'2", 120 lbs, ordered 2 short. it's literally a perfect fit! the rise is just below my belly button. the length comes to my ankles when standing and of course is shorter when i sit (but that's how i like it). these are a thin denim material and can be snug the fist wear. i never strayed to the dark side of stretchy jeans - have forever been a cotton jean girl - so these fit the bill for what i like. maybe order a size up if you aren't used to 100% cotton but these will stretch a bit to form to your body. i'd also rather have a button vs zip fly so no complaints there either!

These jeans are so cute and I love the color. I’m 5’9 125 lbs. I usually wear a 2 long in ae skinny jeans but these have always run big. The 0 regular is pretty baggy and I probably could have sized down even more but I like the loose fit.

Ok, I really like these jeans. They are very cute and flattering. However, they are sized weird. So based on other reviews, I seized down from my normal (2). The waist fits perfect! The booty and hips are a is rather snug (I have an athletic build and toned/muscular legs/booty). Its not too much a problem, but these jeans don't have any stretch to them. So I just have to break them in. I do suggest sizing down, unless you are more athletic with a booty; and don't like things snug.

I've been wanting this pair of jeans, but was concerned about fit because of the reviews. I recently gained a little weight, so my regular size 6 bottoms fit snug. I wanted to go up a size in these because of that, but they do not have an 8 in stock. Some reviews said they got big, so I took a chance 🤞 with the 6. Unfortunately, they fit like a 6 and are snug. But they are true to size. Cute jeans, not stretchy though. Maybe I'll lose a few pounds and get to wear them, or they'll get an 8 back in so I can exchange. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

For sure runs big and appears that it will stretch. Will be reordering down. Of note I have these same jeans from maybe 8 years ago and sizing down.

Normally a size 8 or 10, ordered the 8 because i go down a size in the tomgirl style. I think they looked pretty great on but I do prefer stretch. These have no stretch at all which means they have a good rigidity to them but they feel restrictive. #AEReviewSweepsEntry
