AE Stretch High-Waisted Jegging Jogger

These pants are very comfortable, soft and fit well, but the color went from olive green to almost a pale blue in just a few washes. If it were not for the olive cording on the waist band and the green button, you would never even know these pants had been olive green when I got them, about 4 weeks ago.

Purchased these for my Granddaughter for Christmas. Washed them and they came out looking like I had bleached them. She was devastated because she loved them. I ordered her another pair- exact same ones- and guess what- washed them and they turned out the same exact way! Looking like they got a bleach rag throwed in with them. So- I'm done wasting money on these joggers! She loves the green color but it's not worth it to throw more money away when you cannot even wash them. The first ones was $60 and the second pair I did get on sale for $45. So- I'm out $105 plus shipping and taxes for these joggers! DON'T waste your money on them unless you want to end up with joggers that look ridiculous. AE- you need to do something about this!!! The photo I uploaded- this spot wasn't the worst one! There is also spots on the front of the joggers. It would only let me upload one photo.

I love the way these fit. But unfortunately after I washed them they have streaks that look like they’ve been bleached. Bummed bc I only wore them once and loved them.

I purchased the pants in store. I tried them on and it became my favorite pair of pants immediately. They were so comfortable, versatile and very flattering. Regrettably, I did not read the reviews before purchasing, and apparently it’s a common occurrence that after the first wash, people found blotches all over their pants. Note that I’m very meticulous with my laundry and yet they were still ruined. I’m very disappointed especially being these are $60 pants and I’ve only worn them twice.

I literally just wore these one time and accidentally got grease on them. Stupid me didn’t read the reviews so I blotted with water and detergent and now it seriously looks like a bleach stain on the thigh area! I’m so disappointed because I loved them so much! I also want to buy another pair but then don’t want the same thing to happen! What a disappointment. Overall still love the size, fit and color but just be forewarned, never wash or spill anything on them I suppose!

I bought these a month ago and they’re really comfortable and cute but as soon as I washed them the color completely faded. I got detergent on them and you can see exactly where the detergent touched them. Washed with like colors and on cold… pretty disappointed.

First let me say these are my favorite pants. I love the style, fit color and fabric. However, this particular pair are missing some of the details my other AE joggers have. These have a plastic button instead of the metal riveted kind that most jeans have (all my other joggers have the metal). They also don’t have the ankle zippers which is fine but I feel like they should cost a little less without these extra details. The other difference is for some reason the top of the back pockets rolls down after washing but the others I don’t have that issue. Nothing a little ironing won’t fix but I really don’t want to break out the iron for casual joggers. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

I loved these pants until I washed them. The leg had what looked like a bleach spot on it after normal washing. I don't use bleach. They are unfixable and need to be thrown out. I came online to buy another pair because I loved the fit, but now I see that it's the pants and not bleach! Horrible quality and I want my money back!

I bought these for my daughter for school. She's worn them a few times, and as far as fit and style go, they're great. But... the color has faded out almost completely, leaving them a very pale shade of mint, like almost white. We wash everything in cold water and they've always been hung to dry. They cost way too much money for the color to bleed out to almost nothing after a few months. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Loved them...until I literally walked holes in them? These pants were perfect for work--they are both comfy and cute. However, after owning them for less than a year I am left with two holes on the inner thighs. I am not crazy active in these pants, which makes me believe they are just poor quality. It is unfortunate because these were my go-to pants but now I am hesitant to repurchase.

Disappointed! Price is too expensive and sizing is way off.

So i rinse most my darks in the bath before i wash them because i have realized things are bleading more and more recently. When i rinsed them the water was green and the dye was just running off them . It's so disappointing considering the price. It really sucks. This is the 2nd time this has happen with ae pants. My camo jeans compleatly blead dark green all over them on first wash. And I can't get money back and I love American eagle

I have these pants in a few other colors and I love them. They’re comfy, they look cute, but like previous reviews say… I washed my pants and they came out blotchy like there was bleach thrown on them. Super disappointed and sad cause I absolutely loved the color of this pair and would still buy them if I knew this olive color wouldn’t turn out this way.

These pants are the most comfy pants ever and fit well... I’ll give it that, however, when it comes to the quality of the fabric, beware of using laundry detergents as your color will fade immensely….no more olive green. It will turn a light white/blue color. Had a spot of food fall on side of pants and tried to use regular laundry detergent, (nothing with oxiclean or additives like that) as a gentle spot remover (because I do this with all my clothing stains and never ever had it remove all dye from any fabric!) went to wash it and it took all of the dye from fabric, as you can see in picture. This is not bleach, this is from laundry detergent. I mean what am I supposed to use to wash these pants?? Very disappointed in quality as these pants fit very well and now cannot wear them. $60 down the drain. Anyone else have this problem?

When these joggers arrived at my place, they were amazing! However, the color completely faded after the first wash - it now looks like a dirty green! AE, I love you, but give my money back! I’m so disappointed in AE for selling these! I didn’t see the reviews about the color blotching until after it happened to me on the first wash. Everyone needs a refund on these pants!

Do not buy these, or if you do, just don’t ever wash them. Washed them once and noticed a spot that I thought was detergent. Ran them through the washer again and the spots got even worse. The color is clearly coming out of them. I bought them in the store so I didn’t think to look at the reviews. I can’t even believe AE is still selling these. They should be pulled off their shelves and the website. The photo I posted is only a small glimpse of what the rest of the pants look like.

The jeans will discolor in the wash, even after one use. Horrible dye job. My pair came out white and completely ruined. I threw them away and contacted customer support, but they could not refund me.

The joggers were so flattering and comfortable- until they had to be washed. Looked like I bleached them. Unwearable in public once washed. Wish I read the product reviews prior to purchasing.

I love ae and most of my pants are from here. I loved these pants but after I washed them there was large white spots on the front of them. Very disappointed.

I washed the pants and they came out with what looks like bleach stains. Horrible dye job on American Eagles part! You should refund everyone who got these. Do not buy these, it’s a waste of money.

I purchased these pants reading all the reviews warning about the dye running after they were washed. I was convinced that everyone was washing these pants wrong. When I got them I fell in love. They are so soft and comfortable! I knew I had to wash them exactly as the tag says which is inside out, alone, cold water. This is exactly what I did! These pants were the only item in the washing machine, cold water, and they were inside out. After washing them I hung them to dry. I turned them back to inside right and omg I almost cried seeing all the dye spots. I don't understand how this happened. With all the reviews warning against this, I guess it was my own fault for still buying them, but I do not know how these pants are still being sold! Seriously do not buy these pants. I will be contacting AE and hoping for either a store credit or something because I cannot wear these pants anymore! I am so disappointed. I purchased them in a dark grey colour and this did not happen after washing them so something is off with this green dye colour.

If I had written this the first week I bought them it would have been a 5 star review…and then I got a small grease stain I pre-treated with a gentle detergent. It ruined the pants. I actually considered re-ordering but now see this is common. Anywhere the detergent hits bleached them as if you poured straight bleach on them. So if you plan to rarely wash and never get anything on them, they’re super comfy and cute. But if you buy your clothes to last, move on.

I found these pants in store and LOVED them. I had been looking for some slim fit green utility style joggers for a while and these were perfect. THEN I WASHED THEM. With BABY DETERGENT. Y’all. Gentle. Detergent. And they are now splotchy and missing dye. I think my only option is to strategically tie dye them using detergent or soak them in detergent to make them the same color all over again. Detergent causing a bleach effect should NOT happen. DO NOT recommend. NOT worth the money.

I wish we hadn't bought these! Bought them in store and after one wash there are splotches on the thighs! They look ruined! My daughter is heartbroken! Very disappointed. We buy all of her pants from AE and couldn't believe that this happened!

I bought these pants and loved them!! Until I washed them. I was so upset because I just bought these for $60 and they were ruined. I tried to use stain remover and it's even WORSE. Here's a photo from just washing them once. The stain is now all over the right thigh area because I tried to scrub it out. Expensive pants like these should not be ruined from washing them.
