SUPER TIGHT WAIST!

I bought these 1 size bigger than normal and WOW! The waist is SO tight! Almost every pant or shorts that I try on or buy are loose in the waist on me. Not these! I could BARELY button them, even though the rest of these shorts was quite loose. Returning!

I normally wear size 14 in AE jeans so I figured going up a size in shorts wouldn’t be an issue given the description says that they’re stretchy, they were too tight and also extremely short for me.

Inaccurate sizing

These shorts are very cute, but the sizing is so off! I’m usually a size 8, and after reading reviews I sized up and bought a 10.
They were soooo small! I measured them against a pair of AE shorts size 6, and the 10 and the 6 were the exact same size! Please ae make consistent sizing! This is very annoying!

Wrong sizing

I bought a size 10 because that is what I normally wear in AE. But I couldn’t even button these up. Keep in mind I have not gained any weight. I’m sure AE is changing their sizings again.

I'm 5'4" 235lbs, I wear, in just about every bottom, a 16 or an 18 at AE. I ordered these in a 20 and I can't even button them. I have lots of their other no-stretch shorts and jeans and a 16 or 18 always works. Something about this cut tho. Aaaaaand since AE doesn't really care for us fats, and a 20 is as big as they'll go, I have to return these, instead of exchanging for a bigger size. Sad day.
