High-Waisted Denim Festival Midi Short

I am 5’2 110 lbs. I’m 36 years old. I have ordered and tried on so many pairs of shorts looking for just the right fit (and wash, but fit first). I have tried on almost all of AE’s fits. The mom shorts were too short and crotch hung down very odd. The midi shorts in low rise fit good but were so tight on thighs and don’t like the look on my butt (I have a big but for my size and my legs are not super skinny at all). I wanted a pair of shorts that were cute, comfortable and still classy. These shorts are the perfect length! Not too short and not too long. The legs are not too tight, but yet not so baggy (I have a ton of the old navy boyfriend shorts and those are too baggy). My hunt for the perfect shorts is over! Try these and you will be happy you did!

Perfect short, bought a bigger size so the length would be a bit more modest for my liking but still an amazing short! Cute and comfortable.

I loved how they looked and how they fit...I should’ve ordered an 8 because they’re a more relaxed fit. However, I returned mostly because the legs holes were two completely different sizes. Like the left was the normal size, and the right was huuuge! #AEReviewSweepsEntry

These are not as stretchy as I was expecting. They run pretty small too. I normally get a size 8 but I got a size bigger and thank goodness because even this is a bit tight. I’m actually glad I didn’t order a second pair.

True to the festival style, the shorts run larger than usual. I am not sure if it is due to not having a zipper (buttons instead) but there is a weird gap in the crotch area of the shorts that is not flattering. For reference, I am 125 lbs., 5'7", with muscular legs.

These shorts have no elasticity. I have other midi denim shorts and they are better fitting. But cute shorts though!

These shorts are cute.....however, they are cut small. Esp thru the waist. They have a button fly which makes it less than attractive when the waist is a lil snug... There is absolutely NO stretch to these, whatsoever! I wear a 12 in AE shorts and jeans (I could probably get away with a 10 but don't like stuff fitting too tight, esp after wash/dry). I am taking these back to the store. I just don't think they are worth the cost if i'm not going to be comfortable. Also, they do ride up the rear and makes for a wedgie appearance, even if you don't have one.

Not happening... return! I was sooo excited to get these!!! But.... soooo loose in the legs and I have think legs, and super tight waist! So sad bc the design was awesome! Execution not so much #AEReviewsweepsentry

I wear a size 6 in the next stretch anything and I'm curvy but these have like no stretch to them so they were to small. Very cute but to small on me

I normally wear a size 10 but the reviews stated they ran small so I figured going up a size would do. Lol NOPE. Still beyond too small. Couldn’t even get them close to buttoning. :(( their cute but I have to return. #AEReviewSweepsEntry
