Rim hits the top of my ears!

Really wanted to love this hat, but the volume is too big...the rim of the cap uncomfortably hits the top of my ears. I'd say I have an average size head and have worn other caps before, and never had this happen to me. Not sure if it's a quality control issue? Might buy another one to see if I run into the same issue. The chambray blue color is beautiful and the smiley face is super cute, though! #AEReviewSweepsEntry
