Maybe I'm short or maybe they're long...

I ordered 3 pairs of jeans in 14 short, the other two pairs were mom jeans and the length was perfect for me. These are still a tad too long for me. I'm 5'4 and I'll probably need to get them hemmed to prevent destroying the bottom of the jeans. I could wear these with some kind of shoe with a heel and be fine, but I predominately wear birks so that won't work for me personally. Cute jeans, but if you're 5'4 or shorter expect to get them hemmed or be chained to high heeled shoes.

Long but comfy

I love how these are high rise, soft and stretchy. The 6 short was really long even With a heel but the 6 extra short was perfect.

Pretty but.....

The only reason I didn't give these jeans 5 stars was because the inside of the pockets kept coming out when walking, it was kind of annoying having to push the pocket inside, I ended up sowing them up. Other than that pretty flattering jeans.

I hate high rise jeans but…..

I typically hate high rise jeans, I’ve tried to like them but they just aren’t for me. With that being said, it’s very hard to find a good low/medium rise jean so I tried these. I’ve tried many high rises and these are by far the closest to liking high rise I’ve come. They are flattering and the flare is perfect. I’m between 5’4”-5’5” and the four regular was a tiny bit long but it’s not an issue. I think short would have been too short. They are true to size i’m USUALLY a size 4 in AE jeans. The wash is good but launder them 2-3 times first the dye rubbed off the first couple wears for me. I gave them 4 stars because I think they are more of a super high rise than a high rise but someone else may like that about them. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Not quite right

I love the dark wash of these jeans, the flare was just enough and they actually looked pretty good on, but there were some issues. First, the rise is lower than I expected. It fit more like a mid or low rise on me instead of a high rise. Granted I am tall with a really long torso but I measured the rise and it was only 9.5 inches, and on the website it said it would be 10.25 inches. Not what I was looking for. The length on size 2 regular measured about 31-31.5 inches, which was perfect for me with a low heel. Ran about an inch longer than my other AE flared jeans. The fit was a little snugger than I expected, but these feel like the jeans that might stretch out as the day goes on. Maybe size up if you are between sizes or like a more comfortable fit. The stretch was decent in the jeans, and I liked how the waist fit but I think I prefer jeans with a little more stretch and give, like the Next level stretch. The big deal breaker on these jeans was that the fabric made a weird roll behind my knees, that felt really uncomfortable and annoying when I walked. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

WAAAAAAY too long

I'm tall so I ordered these pants in long. Usually, regular inseams are an inch or two shorter than I'd like, so I was sure ordering long was going to be a good idea. False! The pants were at least 2 inches too long for me and I'm 5'10"! I was so disappointed. I assumed a regular inseam was 31" so I was guessing the long would be about a 32.5 or 33". It was more like 35-36"!

Tighter than other jeans; long is too long

I ordered a long size so I could wear with platforms, but I guess the jeans run long as it is. They are also tighter than my other size 0s from AE. I will be returning and not exchanging. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Runs big

I wear a 12 in AE and these were huge on me for some reason. I had to double check and make sure they weren’t the curvy ones. Also not as flared as I thought they were going to be, but that wasn’t a huge deal to me

Runs SMALL for plus size

This is my fifth pair of AE jeans. I’m 265 lbs and tall I am always a size 16. I typically order next level stretch but have ordered other types in the past. I ordered a 16 tall and it fit like a large 12 at best. Was off by about 3 inches. I returned it and I just ordered a size 18 tall and it barely fits I really should order a 20 but it’s really not worth the effort. It sucks the sizing can be so different it really hurt my confidence bc I’ve never needed an 18 and with the 18 nearly not zipping just really sucked. I had recently ordered the flare next level stretch in a 16 and loved it was even a little big I and wanted a darker wash which is why I got this. Hopefully it will stretch. Great quality but totally bummed by the sizing. The pics are me in an 18L

Please bring back Artist Flare without a high rise

It is so hard to find flare jeans or pants, let alone those that are truly comfortable, with pockets, not too much cotton percentage, lightweight, come in a variety of colors, aren't too wide above the flare, flare enough to fit over chunky boots but not enough to look extreme, come in super-short (not just short) and fit well for boyish, slim yet athletic bodies. Thanks to 2018-era Artist Flare stretch pants and jeans, I found the only pants I had ever loved. I bought tons and wore them everywhere I went. A few weeks ago it was time to buy some more. Well, all the Artist pants were gone (the Kick Boot doesn't work for me, I need a wider ankle opening) and the low to medium rise Artist jeans have been replaced by "high" "higher" and "highest" rise (and the annoying named 'boyfriend Jean'). Come on, AE, your jeans/pants are all I buy, but when I tried the Artist "regular" high rise I felt squished into a corset. Bring back the original Artist flare pants and jeans with regular (or low even) rise!

I like the flair, but they are small in the hips with no stretch. Low rise not high rise.

Very long, bell-bottom like jeans

I am not a fan of these jeans, I ordered a short length ( as I do with all AE jeans) & these were still very long on me. They also fit very tight on the tummy because they’re higher rise and not much stretch. I will probably be returning these, unless I can find someone to hem them.

Disappointed

Can you please bring back the original Artist flare jeans. Not everyone is in to high rise. And for some it's not very flattering to their body. I love AE jeans and have visited twice recently and was bummed that I couldn't find any jeans. I also miss the original jeggings material. That too has changed! I may have to start shopping somewhere different.

Disappointed

I have been a loyal AE customer for years. They have been the only jeans that fit me for quite some time. I ordered these hoping they would be somewhat similar to the artist, and nothing is the same. I guess I will have to find a new brand to support. It's disappointing they can't continue to make jeans that work for all

ONLY high rise!

what happened to AE selling the Artist Flare in a low rise. Not every big girl can wear high rise jeans, I've been wearing Artist Flare for 10 year and now I won't be able to wear them due to being high rise now. BRING BACK LOW RISE ARTIST FLARE!!!!!
