AE High-Waisted Artist® Flare Jean

I read the other reviews that recommended sizing up, and I'm glad I did. I normally wear a 12, and the 14s fit perfectly.

Fits pretty well. Comfortable...but could be one inch longer to be perfect.

Love these jeans! The artist fit were my favorite, but the mid rise just doesn’t work for me anymore. I’m SO glad they came out with the high rise artist! After reading other reviews to size up, i took the chance and ordered my regular size (as i didn’t want them to be too big). They fit perfectly, however they’re a smidge too long and will have to cuff a bit at the bottom but no big deal.

Glad AE came out with the high waisted artist flair, however, this was my second atempt at sizing, this style runs small and had to go a size up. I wish they would come out with more lengths to support their inclusive sizing. They are always too long on me. Love the fit.

The only reason I marked smaller than expected is because other reviews said to size up and I am glad I did. Normally I am a 4 regular but these needed to be a 6 regular and they fit great. I have been searching for a decent pair of flare jeans for a while and when these finally came back in stock I jumped at the chance. The fit is just right. Not too long or baggy. I am a hour glass shape and so my jeans need to be high waisted for more balance. I like how the flare isn't too wide. Even with boots on they fall just perfectly. Without boots they fall on the floor but still not baggy or dragging. They are comfy without being too loose and not too tight. The wash is somewhat lighter than expected. I was anticipating a much darker wash given the photo. It is more of a medium-dark wash. I guess to me dark is like indigo wash. These are not that dark. For the price and convenience of finding these at AE its well worth it. I am now looking into buying the black pair of flair pants. These are def some of the best fitting flare jeans I have found in a while. TLDR; I am 5'6 and a half. 138 pounds. Hourglass shape. More butt than boobs :) Athletic build. 6 regular on these babies is perfect.

I like how stretchy these jeans are, but my normal size fits super tight and the extra long seems like it’s longer than the normal extra long. I would recommend sizing up and maybe the long is enough. I still gave it 4 stars because they are really nice jeans, just sad because they fit weird.

I LOVE that flares are making a come back, finally no more sausage legs! These run small, I'm normally a 4 in AE pants and the 4 was super tight in these. For referance, I'm 5'2 and ~120ish give or take, with an athletic build. I could have pulled the size 4 off, but they were uncomfortably tight and if I'm going to deal with that, I may as well wear skinny's, so I returned them. I'm also only 5'2 and the XShort is STILL about 1in too long, longer fitting than other Xshorts I've bought from AE. But maybe that's part of the flare style, because the fading all seemed to sit where it should on my legs. Super sad that after I returned the 4, they were sold out of the 6! Boo. Desperately hoping they continue to carry these.

Love these jeans. Great stretchy fit. Washes and wears well. They are a bit longer than expected. If your shorter than 5'4, I'd recommend getting shorter size.

I love the waist height on these pants !! It’s really hard to find flare or bootcut let alone in a high waist! The flare is really big but I just get it altered to a little smaller more like a small flare instead of 70s disco flare. These pants suck in my gut and don’t leave muffin top spillover ! They’re tight on the thigh which I love !! They don’t stretch out ! My fav ❤️❤️❤️

I’ve literally ordered ever pair of high waisted flare jeans that ae has come out with in the last few years and these do fit a little more snug. There’s a little less stretch in the material and they aren’t quite as high. I do still love them though! And for me, this high rise I like a little better.

These jeans look great in the photo and just what I was looking for. Upon opening the bag, the jeans look as pictured. As for putting them? The rise and name are misleading. They do not go as high as photo would allow you to think. The reason I was drawn to them was that they were higher waisted...not so much. The length was perfect and they are very nice jeans. Great price and quality. The buttons and button holes were a bit hard to fasten at first, but that loosens up on wear. All in all, a lovely pair of jeans...just not as High-Waisted as one might hope. 5'2" 110 pounds

They run a little small. But not quite small enough to size up, which is irritating. I’ve ordered others in this style that are more flattering, these ones are just a little disappointing.

I love these jeans. They are super flattering and I love a good flare without being too flared. I am normally a 6-8 and I purchased a 10 X-Long (I'm 5'11"). The jeans are snug in a good way, and very comfortable. I wish they came in a mid-rise because they are about an inch higher rise than I would prefer. That is the only complaint I have with these. A close friend told me that they make my butt look fantastic!

The color of these jeans are beautiful. However, they do run small and short... order a size up and you'll be fine. I like how they offer the artist flare in a high waist. AE please keep these in stock!
