AE High-Waisted Artist Flare Jean

It’s been awhile since I have worn flare jeans. The fit is perfect. I have never found jeans that fit and feel perfect on me. I’m 62 and 5 feet and I will never purchase jeans anywhere else. Everything I have purchased from AE has never disappointed me. I love AE.

These jeans are the best, perfect stretch, perfect length I just love how they fit.

I haven't owned a pair of flare jeans in a reaaaaally long time, so I am so excited with how they look and fit. I bought an x-short for that cropped look, and I love that they hit my ankle perfectly. They're very stretchy, in my opinion, so sizing down was a good idea (if you want a more snug fit). I think the amount of flare to your jeans depends on how they fit your calves. If you have larger or more muscular calves, it'll be more of a boot cut. Personally, I love the amount of flare to these jeans. ** I have a medium sized booty, and they make me look peachy!!!!

When AE made these jeans, they perfected everything about them! They're cute, comfortable, affordable and great quality. 10/10 I seriously recommend buying!

This style of jeans are my go to. I bought one pair last year and I looked on their tag to be able to buy another pair just like them. They are comfy and fit good.

These are nice thick jeans, not really flared but I just order long ones so that they bunch at the bottom and look more flared lol. I wear a 12 in AE boyfriend jeans so I got a 12 but these are bigger in the waist and have a lot of stretch so I just ordered another paid in a size down. Hope this helps. Also , these are a nice rise... not crazy high like at your rib cage but just above my belly button. Love these jeans.

I love these jeans! They fit over my boots well, and hit at the right length. I ordered a long because I wanted them to be able to stack on my boot. Overall love the dark color and the stretch to them!! Great pair of jeans, just as pictured!!

Super soft and comfy. The wash is beautiful. Nice alternative to the larger flares I usually go for.

I've recently lost weight and gone down a dress size so was looking for new jeans. I also have a 36" inseam and found out American Eagle did and Xlong. Gave them a try and I was so happy to find they were the perfect length. They're more of a bootcut than a flare though. They go great with my leather ankle boots! They fit fab around my bum too, just enough stretch.

Fits true to size. Little bit of stretch. A little long on me but all boot cut Jean's are. Love the coverage and the rise on these.

Was expecting a little lower rise but I am also quite short. Otherwise these jeans are super cute

I'm a welding group leader and these jeans are perfect for work. They are flexible and high waisted so I don't have to worry about my backside showing! I also just had a baby and the high waist holds everything in lol. AE jeans are great quality and last forever. That's why I only buy AE Jeans!

These pants fit great in the thigh and waist, same as previous AE jeans I've purchased in this size. I love the stretch these jeans have. The only problem I had is that I purchased both the Classic Medium and Dark Rich Indigo in this style. Both were size 4 Regular. However, the Dark Indigo were almost 2 inches longer than the Classic Mediums, again BOTH were labeled as Regular length. The Classic Medium falls a tad shorter than previous regular lengths purchased. I'm going to try the Classic Medium in 4 Long and hope the length works a little better.

I love these when I saw them I knew I had to get them. They fit great love the ripped detail at the bottom!

A little small in the waist compared to others. But ae jeans are very inconsistent in size.. some I wear an 8 and some a 10. But they are cute. Tighter flare then other ae flares. But they are very comfortable. I am 5’10 200 lbs I wear a 10 xlong in these. And even though they are tight I wouldn’t size up because they would be too big in the other areas.

I am a very petite, tall woman and finding pants that are long enough for me is SO RARE, let alone having the WAISTBAND FIT TOO! So, these are a MIRACLE to me so I ordered another pair! If you are tall and skinny, these pants are for you! They emphasize curves too, so if you have nice hips, they will look great! I took a star off because my first pair came with a teeny tiny hole in the pant leg.

These are super cute! The waist is super high and it’s a little more snug than the hips of the pants. I’m not sure if I’ll keep them or not because the waist is a little tight even though this is my usual size.

I really loved my first pair of artist flare jeans from AE but sadly when I went to buy another of the same pair they were sold out, so I bought these instead and I was very happy with them! The length is perfect, I always struggle to find jeans long enough for my legs but these are perfect and I can comfortably wear all of my cowboy boots under them! They are a bit stretchier than I would like but they are still flattering nonetheless and fit great!

I gave four stars because they are cute, soft, and stretchy. They are pretty true to size, I wouldn’t size down. I didn’t give five stars because it says that it has a 20 inch leg opening, I measured this with a soft measuring tape and it’s 18 1/4 inch leg opening. I have some original artist flares that I still wear (circa 2011) that have a wider leg opening than these. These do not look cute with cowboy boots as you can see the boot shaft in your pant leg. They look ok with pointed flats and a heeled bootie. The length, I’m in between but I have short legs so I feel the regular would be too long for me. If you’re looking for a true flare Jean I would look elsewhere. Still debating if I am keeping them or not.

I love the color and quality of the material. However, I ordered the same pair of jeans in another color and in the same size and these were much shorter than the other pair. So it just looks a little funny when I where boots with them, but other than that I have no complaints. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

My daughter is super short wanted flare jens. But the flare was more of a bootcut to me. But she was happy so it was a win.

I’m either a size 4 or 6, and I was surprised when these jeans didn’t fit as well as past AE jeans. Still a great pair of jeans. The flare is a fun change for me!

Overall these jeans are nice, but the length is not 30” like I ordered. American Eagle is just inconsistent in jean manufacturing when it comes to the length. I ordered another color in the same style and the length was perfect. Not big enough of a difference for me to order them in a regular, but still disappointing when you put boots on. Other than that I’d recommend.

Not my favorite pair but not bad. I usually wear 4/6 but these seem to run pretty large. They are not a huge flare, more of a bootcut. Would love them if they were more of a mid rise.

I have quite a few "Artist Flare" pants and jeans. These are not Artist Flare jeans. These are more or a bootcut, if anything, even that is giving it more flare than it deserves.
