AE Stretch Ripped Curvy Mom Jean

I read some reviews and a lot of them said the waistband was tight so I ordered a size bigger. I like the way they look but I really wish I would’ve got a 14 short. Pretty baggy in the hips for me but I don’t mind the loose fit.

Super comfy mom jeans, love the rips, the waist and leg room is perfect for me. I’ve been looking for a pair of mom jeans like these. I gave them a four stars since I noticed there’s sizing inconsistencies with the curvy mom jeans. Love American Eagle jeans though regardless.

I am 5’3” and fairly thin/athletic but with a big booty and muscular thighs. I could probably do a 0 X-short and I even might buy one still. They are very stretchy and do feel thin and cheap but they’re comfy and look flattering so I’ll keep.

They fit nice and were the nice stretchy material! Easy to walk and run would definitely recommend just a little high on the bottom my whole ankle and 1/3 of my lower foot were showing which was surprising because I’m 5’2 and most jeans are big on me from the bottom but over all good jeans and true to fit!

So sizing can be tricky if you’re hip to waist ratio doesn’t match the average size chart. For my first pair of mom jeans I was impressed with the comfort level. For reference I’m 5’6 and 128lbs, but these jeans stretch! So I decided to get 2R and honestly I could’ve probably gone smaller but I didn’t want it super tight, because I’m not looking for skinny jean look. Overall I’m satisfied with my purchase.

Have been looking for a pair of mom jeans for the longest time. This pair is great. It fits well, the rise is very high and the denim is so soft and has a lot of stretch. worth the purchase.

I have an hourglass figure and have such a hard time finding jeans that are fitted through the waist/hips/butt and also understand that my legs don’t suddenly shrink three sizes once you hit thigh. Or suddenly grow three sizes? These fit my proportions perfectly and were so comfortable. They have a weee bit extra room at the waist which doesn’t bother me too much. It’s good for tucking clothes in or if your tummy pokes out more or if you plan on eating a big meal. They still fit and stay just fine without a belt. I recommend sizing down but other than that it’s super soft and stretchy

The waist fit a bit tighter than expected (not much stretch) but everything else was nice an loose! Length was perfect for my height. love except I wish the waist had a little more stretch

Maybe it was the size or maybe I just don’t know how to style myself, but these didn’t look as good on me as they did the model. Oh well.

Great mom jean! Had the perfect amount of stretch to keep you comfortable. I’m really appreciating the hip and waist difference to accommodate us curvy girls the fit is great in these. They do run a little big so I had to size down one from my normal size, only because they were a little to baggy in the tummy area and a belt couldn’t fix it. Ended up sizing down one and the hip and waist felt much better but that did make them a little smaller on the legs so I didn’t get that baggy look in the knee area that I wanted but they are still great jeans, not heavy and looks great cuffed up. This was my first pair of AE denim and I’m in love! Plus size jeans can reeeeaaaally vary in size, so I was thrilled when I got these and they fit comfortably. The waist was quite a bit higher than I expected, and they were a little shorter than I expected, but neither one were deal breakers. I have really long legs and a short torso so that contributed to those factors. If you’re plus size and debating, definitely try these. I wear an 18 at torrid and these fit great in a 20 if you’re trying to determine your ae size!

Love the material and cut of these jeans (so nice to finally find mom jeans that work for me!) but they definitely fit a bit big. I have the curvy jeggings in a size 12 regular and they fit perfectly but I definitely have to size down in the mom jeans to get them to fit. The waistband fit me more like a 14 would and so they bunched up in weird ways around my waist. They're also a bit longer than I wanted, even though I tend to wear a regular length at AE.

The rips fall a little bit lower than my knees probably because I’m only 4’11. The waist cinches me up nicely so it is flattering. I am not very curvy though but very small and petite so the front has quite a bit of excess fabric. It’s really soft and comfortable to move around. I’m washing it and putting it in the dryer and hope that the excess fabric shrinks a bit. I’m usually a 0-XS and I ordered my usual size and the waist is pretty accurate. Just be mindful of the fact that the thighs and calves are quite roomy.

Super cute! Longer than expected, went to my ankles. Super high, above my belly button. Really like them but the pic was slightly misleading. I like them better cuffed tho so it works.

I’m by no means stick straight and have a pair of Abercrombie curvy jeans that fit well’ish (a little tight in the waist) so I thought these would fit but they are definitely for more of a curvier girl. The waist fit fine but the thighs and butt were pretty baggy and weren’t being filled by my legs lol. I’m usually a 2 so I think they fit true to size but if you’re pretty average these won’t fit that great. The length was good though but they were a return. Also, I have a bit of a pooch from being pregnant and a c-section which if you had one you know that the shelf flab above the scar is real .... this high rise made it even more prominent so I have found more mid rise jeans are a little more forgiving. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

Ok so I was nervous when ordering these because I was scared they were going to be too tight. Turns out they are actually pretty stretchy and comfortable & have that real authentic Levi look. However, when checking out it stated that the 24 reg was out of stock (after I already fell in love with them) so I opted for a 24 Long and that’s where I messed up. The knee cuts now fall below the knee, which looks a little funny because the legs are on the looser side.. but not a huge problem, it just creates a super casual look.

These jeans are so cute!! I'm a short gal with bigger thighs and hips/butt so i've never been able to find mom jeans that are flattering but these are a total game changer! I typically wear a size 6 or 8 in AE jeans so i went with a short 8 but honestly if i order jeans again in this style i might go one more size up to get an extra loose fit. My only complaint is that these jean are supposed to be high rise, but they fit me like an extra high rise. Otherwise love these!

I would definitely recommend sizing down as I'm normally an 8 but I got the 6 because other reviews suggested to size down. These fit my waist and butt perfectly. They're so cute and definitely one of my comfiest pairs of jeans.

These are very cute and comfortable with the perfect amount of stretch! I would order true to size for the best fit! For the other tall girls, I think AE changed their inseams. The X-long length used to fall below my ankles but now it sits right at them. It’s not an issue but if you’re taller than me (5’9) they might be a little short. The waist is so high!! Sorta digs in when you’re sitting or bending over. A little higher waisted and baggier than expected. But pretty great first pair from AE! #AEReviewSweepsEntry

I love that the fabric is soft, makes me feel like I can wear this jeans all day and that says a lot. I want to buy the same exact style but in a different wash. I hope they can make other ones and my size would be available. Over all, I love this mom jeans. I gave it a 4 star because of the product availability and wash selection. Would’ve been a 5 if those met my expectations.

I went up a size and bought these in an 8 for a looser fit. The legs fit the way I wanted them to, but the waist went up higher than I expected and fit perfect. I really love the way they look on, but because I ordered a size up and everything but the waist is big, I imagine that they run a little small in that area. I would just size accordingly, but they are so comfortable, breathable, and cute! #AEReviewSweepsEntry

I did not know what to expect when I first tried these on, but when I did they were actually somewhat longer and looser than I am used to with mom jeans. I could've sized down to a 12, and I'm a standard regular 14. Overall, really cute and VERY comfortable.
