AE x The Jeans Redesign '90s Straight Jean

I am a size 12 in all American eagle jeans, when receiving these initially I tried them on and couldn't stand comfortably they were so tight. Thinking its the wash or fabric I sized up and returned my other pair. Even when sizing up the jeans dont fit comfortably and I would not recommend to anyone.

The jeans themselves were nice quality but I did not like the fit. They did not have any stretch and did not feel very comfortable.

I normally wear a 6L but after reading the reviews I tried a 8L. It was super loose at the waistband, but way too tight on the butt. The bottom section of the legs also were way baggier than in the picture. I liked the fabric though, still soft but still felt like denim.

I wish I read the reviews before ordering. First, these jeans are absolutely not high rise. They are still cute but not high rise at all. Second, people aren’t kidding when they said these run small. I ordered two pairs of jeans at the time I bought these, both size 12. Which has been my size for years. These fit at least two sizes too small! They fit perfectly everywhere else but the waist. I just ordered another pair two sizes up in hopes they’ll fit but concerned they will be far too baggy everywhere else.

These pants would not go over my butt in my normal AE size. Size up!

5'2", 150 lb. Now, it might be because I have curvy hips and maybe this cut just doesn't work for my body type, but these run SO SMALL. Ordinarily, I'm a size 8 short in AE pants, I sized up to a 10 short per recommendations from others here, and it's still WAY too small, I couldn't even button it up. In the end, don't think I like the 90s cut on my body personally, will probably return these in favor of a mom jeans style

The waist area fit fine and the crotch area was slightly snug but the thigh and below was ridiculously loose.

I have been buying AE jeans for close to 6 years now and this is the only time I've been disappointed! I have 5 pairs of jeans that are size 6 and for some reason these ones don't fit at all like the other ones do. I haven't gained any weight, so buyer beware! Even if you are used to AE jeans I'd recommend sizing up. For reference I'm 5'10" and 155 lbs

I really wanted to love these jeans but they just had an awkward fit. Would’ve definitely used if it was a little more comfortable.

these would’ve been cute if they fit properly. the waist is really small & no stretch at all while the legs fit fine. the colour was nice & everything but i will be returning

Love American Eagle jeans but these ones ain’t it. They er too tight in the wrong places and too loose in others. I sized up one size and they’re loose at the waist but too tight other places. Would not recommend buying these.

these jeans run extremely small! I ordered an 18 which i ordered because i wanted these jeans to fit looser (I'm normally a 16) and they did not fit at all!! no stretch at all!

So weird. They are so big right above the knee. They fit me around my waist/butt but nowhere else. I have a rectangular build and thin legs so maybe (maybe) these would work for someone with bigger thighs (although I imagine they’d still be loose in the wrong places because these jeans are just not shaped like legs). Maybe I got a messed up pair? Height/waist/weight (approx): 5’5”/27”/110 Purchased size 0R

I bought the same size that I always do with AE without having any problems but these were at least two sizes too small. How can a straight leg jean be tighter than a skinny Jean? I’m so disappointed.

I usually wear 8, sometimes 10. I couldn’t even pulled them passed my hips! I had to return them.

I am usually between a 10 and 12 in american eagle jeans, and all my jeans are from AE so I'm fairly adept at figuring out what my size is for a given style. That being said, got these in a size 10 and they barely even fit like an 8 would. It was practically impossible getting them over my butt, the rise is way too short to be high rise and the legs are so tight. Horribly inconsistent with the sizing of the rest of their jeans. Size up twice FOR SURE but I would recommend skipping these ones altogether.

ae jeans used to be my ride or die.. i bought these in a size 20 (like i always do) and they fit my size 14 sister almost perfectly. holy body dysmorphia. i think something changed with their denim because the sizing has been completely off in the last few pairs i’ve tried from ae. not happy.

I purchased a size 20 and that is the size of all my AE jeans that fit me so well.. was so sad when these didn’t fit. They are very stiff pants with no stretch. I could get them on but boy were they uncomfortable. I felt like I was gonna bust out of them for sure. Size up..
