AE Highest Waist '90s Boyfriend Jean

I have been buying AE jeans for years and this was my first pair of boyfriend style. I really love the length and the look of them. The colour is a little lighter than I thought, but still looks good. The only thing, which I saw in other reviews, is that they run small. I have been wearing size 16 for years, but decided to get them in an 18 to be safe. 18 fits really well, a little big in the waistband, but because there is literally 0 stretch to the material, they fit well in around my belly. If you're smaller, get your regular size. If you have a tummy, go a size up to have some room. Overall really comfy, but did fail the squat test since there is 0 stretch so it gets a 4 star.

they are very soft and strechy, the color is really nice i definitely recommend. although i would get a long if you are 5’4 or taller.

I love these jeans and I normally am a size 4/6 in jeans and these did not even zip in a size 6 and with the size 8 they BARELY zip on me. Definitely size up on these if you’re getting them! I love the style though! #AEReviewSweepsEntry

The rise, cut, and wash of these jeans is perfect! They did feel about a full size small on me. I would exchange for a different size but I HATE the placement of the distressed patches. One of them is up so high that if the pocket lining shifts at all you can see your underwear. Enjoy flashing everyone after you've had a couple drinks and don't remember to adjust your pocket. No thanks for me! I'll be returning them

In the pictures the distress looked smaller, it was too much damage for my taste, the cut is cute, gave it to my daughter and she loved it

0 was a bit too tight, 2 was too loose. The smaller size looked better though, relaxed without being baggy. If the waist was taken out in proportion to everything else I would have kept these.

I’m usually a size 14 in AE jeans, but ordered a size 16 because these don’t have much stretch and I wanted them to be a little looser. When I tried them on, they were so small that couldn’t even do up the zipper. nice jean overall, but I’d go up a size if you have any belly at all.

I like these but the fit is a bit odd. Very tight at the waist and I bought the size 10 but I’m an 8. Then they go loose everywhere else. Still keeping them.

Super cute jeans but they fit like a size smaller. I am a size 12 in every pair of jeans I own but these fit me more like a size 10. They fit fine around the waist and are a great length but they are too tight on my thighs.

I read the reviews before I purchased, so I knew they ran small. I sized up and they STILL were way too small in the waist. Everywhere else was perfect! I’m 5’1” and carry all my weight in my stomach. Sadly, these didn’t work.

These jeans I wanted to love but they had zero stretch in legs & very little to zero stretch in waist. I am more on the athletic build and curvier in hips & thighs & smaller waist so I prefer to have more of a stretch for comfort. I had to return them.

They lie. The waist band is not stretchy. That being however they fit fine, sit high up on my waist, but bending over they cut me in half

The quality is so good and look good if the waist wasn’t smaller than described. The length is good it’s just the measurements on the waist, I wouldn’t recommend sizing up since it might be a little more bagging than you might want.

I love the color and the fabric, looks amazing, however they are sooo loose on my waist it just ddoesn't look right :( i am so sad about it because i love the color so much.

they look really cute in the pictures but they fit me too big on the waist but tight on the thighs. since they're loose on the legs it just looked a little awkward. i got my usual size so i guess just be warned if you're curvier. the quality is good though.

I am usually always a 6 short in American Eagle jeans (in skinny jeans, jeggings, mom jeans, and boyfriend jeans). I read some reviews ahead of time and about half the people said these jeans ran large and half said they run small, so I just got my normal size, but they ended up being a bit too big. I would say a lot of my weight is in my midsection/hips/stomach, so I was surprised that it was too large, but I think the fit for these jeans totally depends on your body type. They were also longer than I expected. The "short" fit me pretty much like a normal jean (barely above the ankle), and I think these are supposed to be cropped, so keep that in mind. A 6 short usually hits right at the ankle for me. As advertised, they are extremely high waisted, and not stretchy, but I still found them comfortable even when sitting down (though who knows how much of that is from them being too big). I am returning these and getting a 4 short, which I'm hoping will fit better. #AEReviewSweepsEntry

The jeans are really good quality but they’re huge around the waist and lower stomach area. They fit really good everywhere else though. I would recommend sizing down.

I was so excited when I got these jeans because I have recently lost weight and my size is down to a 0 now; however, these jeans were so big on me. The the waist sat at my hips when i’m sure they are supposed to go around my waist, if i were to reorder i would probably have to get a 000 for them to fit. super cute though, sizing was just off

These jeans are super cute, but unfortunately they are extremely big. I was expecting them to be baggy, but not this much. I'm going to exchange them hopefully the zero fits better.

The pants are so tight that I have to swing my legs side to side to walk up my stairs and I’m pretty sure if I were to bend over I would bust the seams. They’re super tight around my waist, upper thighs and butt. I personally don’t like them on me but I think they would look good on someone who is smaller than I am. On the upside though, they look just like the picture!

I bought these jeans about 3 weeks ago and they have already stretched out immensely! I wish I was told that they would by an employee so I could’ve sized down!

literally so disappointed with how these jeans fit. i normally wear a 12 in their skinny jeans and i have a 14 in a pair of baggy mom jeans. i ordered a 14 and 16 incase of weird sizing and i literally couldn’t even do up the 14!!! the 16 did up with determination but i couldn’t sit down in them. i don’t know what’s going on with these or why they’re so small now but i’m so sad bc i love ae jeans. might get 18 and 20 to see if they’ll do but probably will give up. reviews said fit as expected but they’re all liars

When they said rigid. They meant it, I'm usually a 12/14 in stretchier jeans and at ae, I've actually had an issue with size 14 being too big so I thought it would make sense to order them. However, they didn't make it past mid thigh. Gorgeous jeans and if AE made a pair like this with just a little more give, I would've been set. If you've got thickkk thighs, maybe pass on this. One day, I'll be graced with a proper skater jean, until then, I'll keep dreaming.

I ordered the light wash. The top rip on the right hand side gave out and started ripping vertically. I've only had these since November and they are now garbage. Super disappointed

This was nothing like the pair i saw in store or try on. The material was definitely thinner and the fit was not the same. I’m not sure what the issue was but the pair i ordered was different from the pair i tried on in store . Very disappointed
